    New RCBS Pro 2000 ordered

... Just throwing this out there as well, does the PTX die work well with the PRO? I'm leaning towards the pro2000 as well, was just hard finding as many owners to talk about as the other major brand progressives. Chuck you may have convinced me, I already have a RCBS turret kit for sale.

Another used Data Bank to convert into RSC (thread link)

... Do you know if its pretty costly to send a safe like that to someone like sturdy to have it painted and have the interior redone into a nice gun safe? I'm thinking its more cost effective to buy and have them ship it to a safe maker right away to have the work done if its not too costly...

Another used Data Bank to convert into RSC (thread link)

I've been reading forever trying to get a new safe for myself (Concrete foundation in new home that is stressed so I'm afraid to screw anything into the concrete) and for my dad (older manufactured home, just going to bolt it down on concrete garage floor). I wanted to buy my dad a new AMSEC...

Your slowest 45 colt with jacketed bullet powder?

I have a 25-5 I am Loading rounds for with 250 nosler jhp's. What's the powder you guys use for the lowest recoil with jacketed bullets? I'm trying some trailboss and some bullseye or h110 and looking to try one more powder that will be as soft shooting as possible with these bullets since...

Anybody know what comes in Kimber Advanced Tactical Kit?

I bought my dad a Kimber AT in the pelican case, but need to get the scope, sling, torque wrench etc. Just wondering if anybody know what comes in it and where to buy it, I've been looking for two months now and have tried calling Kimber... I've been able to get the scope model and sling...

Trail Boss Guideline for lead and jacketed bullets

... I'm starting off with 5.8 to 6.5 in my 45 colt cases and checking after each shot for squibs, pressure signs etc. Just researching right now but wanted to get the info out there so people who are experienced can start developing all sorts of loads, this powder just seems like fun. I...

Trail Boss Guideline for lead and jacketed bullets

http://www.imrpowder.com/PDF/Trail-Boss-data.pdf I'm using these guidelines to hopefully make some jacketed light loads in my handgun calibers, starting with a few test loads for my 45 colt with Nosler 250JHP's.

45 Colt with Bullseye (Load Check)

... Thinking about it, but if I ever use these things on a hunt or for home defense or even for carry I prefer to use jacketed. Plus leading isn't too big of a deal but I care not to have any and make thorough cleaning easier. The main reason is I have nice Nosler Jackated bullets here...

45 Colt with Bullseye (Load Check)

... Just read on someone's post that IMR approved Trail Boss for jacketed bullets finally. Going to see what loads I can find for that. Making light loads with trail boss that fill up a case would be fun. My goal was to actually make some light loads, at least as light as I can go with...

45 Colt with Bullseye (Load Check)

... The only other powders I have on hand are trail boss and clays. Trail Boss would have been real nice to use to make light loads, but I only have Nosler 250 JHP's for 45 Colt right now. I'll shoot for some unique again tomorrow but so far no luck finding unique or 2400...

45 Colt with Bullseye (Load Check)

... I readom somehwere that the N Frame Smith was good and safe to 24,000 psi, it is the same as the 29-2 which I also started loading for. I have h110 on hand for hotloads but it might be the same as my 29-2 which has some h110 loads ready to go. So I'll probably wait to buy another...

45 Colt with Bullseye (Load Check)

I have bullseye and h110 right now. I just want to try some light and heavier loads out of my 25-5 Smith. I found one bullseye load chart in a speer manual for 8.5grs under a 260 grain JHP. I'm shooting a nosler 250 JHP so something around 8.5 or a couple tenths lower should be ok right?

    FAL OAL for 308

... Most reloading manuals give a max of 2.810 for the cartridge and that should work in any .308 action as the max they is supposed to work in any or at least "most" .308's. My only concern I guess would be the mag taking them, but maybe you could make them and then just seat them deeper...

RCBS 44spl/mag question before I get started.

... Thanks again guys, I'll only be doing 44mag for now, so I'm good to go. And thanks for the quick tip on the first .308 rounds I did. They still chamber, so I'll just shoot them as is and then neck size them to see if they chamber any easier when empty next time. If they don't...

RCBS 44spl/mag question before I get started.

... Thanks for the quick replies, it did not seem neccessary and I just wanted to check before I continued. On a side note for the .308, the COAL is 2.810 and the calipers tell me I'm at 2.808 and it closes but it can be hard to turn the bolt down, I closed on the first round a few times and...

RCBS 44spl/mag question before I get started.

I'm about to seat the bullets on my first few rounds in .308 but next up is a hundred rounds of 44 magnum for my 29-2. The set comes with a spacer for use with magnum cases.... The instuctions say it is not neccessary for the sizer die, but I don't why it is neccessary for the expander and...
