A High - point that worked!

My post wasn't edited. People chose to react instead of reading it. Including the Moderator. This is why I'm seriously considering leaving this forum. From the top down, it's no longer living up to the Mission/Vision/Values of being the High Road. Very disappointing.

A High - point that worked!

Funny, usually I'm one of the few that defend Hi-Points, but tonight I'm being flamed for putting a twist on the post. Thought people would see the irony, but instead I see not. oh well. I'll give it two days and read another hi-point bashing thread without anybody chiming into defend them.

A High - point that worked!

The exact point of this thread, as discussed before, is the purpose such low cost firearms serve in the working class house hold. This lady, could have been at the mercy of the pistol wielding thugs that kicked in her door, but she did her duty and used it well. Considering how rusty the pic...

A High - point that worked!

Since when have I ever bashed hi-point??? I posted this in contradiction (with satire) of those that frequently discount them based on their opinion and not facts. Don't be quick to over-react. The article posted speaks loud and clear that this weapon has a place in society.

A High - point that worked!

I hear all kinds of stories from people that had a cousin with a friend that had a sister married to a guy that had one that wouldn't function.

A High - point that worked!

http://bearingarms.com/detroit-mom-uses-carbine-deemed-assault-weapon-ct-ny-defend-children-home-invaders/ Link takes you to an article where a Detroit Mother used her Hi-point carbine to defend her home against armed thugs. Contrary to many beliefs, the gun did actually fire real bullets...

    Rifle on a budget

Scopes aren't needed. I was hunting with an m91/30 that I paid $80 for about 3 years ago. If all I had was a sharp stick, I'd still try to hunt.

    Bought my first air rifle

Well, I took it out to the range. Only had one type of .22 pellets, and it didn't like those very well. Groupings were horrible at 25 yards. Of course, maybe it was my technique. I plan on taking off Friday and going to the range. I'll try with the .17 caliber barrel and the variety of...

    Dr office search and seizure?

I wind up at the VA Specialty Clinic quite regularly. My doc does ask me about guns, usually what new ones I have and shares what new ones he has. A 20 minute appointment can turn into 45 minutes.

Should You Draw ONLY IF your going to fire?

I don't draw unless I'm going to fire. Only drew once on a dog. Luckily it didn't attack, but I was going to fire. I don't draw as a deterrent and I don't give warning shots.
