You only need to worry about clearing through the snap caps if you use your carry mags for training...and then I'd have to ask why. Use training mags for training, carry mags for carry.
I sometimes load up snap caps during practice, and several classes I've gone to made us do it as well...
Mention to the company you're sending them overseas and you might catch a price break. I've seen Magpul donate boxes of Pmags to soldiers a few times already.
Funny, because that same advice has given others incredibly reliable rifles with VERY few failures in 10,000+ rounds.
A local trainer ran over 10,000 through his M&P 5.45 shooting ONLY corrosive ammo and NEVER cleaned it. Didn't have any issues short of a couple hard primers.
I think it's...
You really don't even need to clean it...maybe once every 10,000 rounds if you're bored or something.
Just keep it lubed, and run a patch or boresnake down the barrel if there's a lot of crap in there - there shouldn't be unless you're shoving the muzzle into dirt or something.
Get the full, cut it yourself.
It WILL need to be cut regardless. Otherwise it's a real PITA trying to draw.
Unless you never practice drawing...in which case you'll probably never know.
You can cut it with any sharp knife.
My AR eats steel ammo like a fat kid in a candy shop.
So I dunno what you're talking about.
Seen the same with several other rifles at classes, matches, etc.
If you're AR won't fire steel ammo it needs to be fixed (or thrown out...). If it's a varmint gun or something and has a match...
I am using Leverevolution (225gr, I think), so perhaps that is the issue.
I don't have any other cartridges to compare to, so perhaps the soft point is giving it a longer OAL.
I'm also having a problem with the next round in the mag not coming out after ejecting the spent case sometimes...
I just picked up a Puma M92, made by Rossi. .44 mag with 10+1 capacity. So far I like it, it's a good looking gun and seems solid.
But my problem is that loading the magazine to capacity is HARD. Like brand new Glock magazine hard...or even worse. It's VERY difficult to get that last...
I like my Mossy 500 with youth stock and plain bead sight. Only thing I want to change is to add a tritium bead. I think everything else is just fluff...a good light wouldn't be bad, though.
I also wouldn't mind a shorty coach gun. It's too bad we can't have SBS's in Michigan, else I'd...
I didn't say every single Glock 36 sucks and never works.
I don't like .45, and I don't like small guns that fire big cartridges...so I wouldn't get a small .45.
I don't know which I'd get, because every single 'small' .45 I've ever shot or owned had issues at one point during it's life.
Night sights and possibly a tac light are all you need.
Stippling the grip or even a grip reduction might be in order as well.
Don't touch the internals.
ETA - The G36 is probably the least reliable Glock. Just FYI. Get a different gun if you want a small .45.
My AR.
Although I don't currently own an AK.
But give me $10,000 to blow on an AK and I'd still take my AR. They're good, and I certainly liked every one I had...I just run the AR platform much better.
That being said if there's some sort of disaster ALL my rifles are going with...
When the action is moved rearward the empty case - still being held by the extractor - hits the stationary ejector which flips it out of action. With semi autos this is why the brass usually flies pretty far - the action is moving pretty fast. With a bolt gun or similar manual action if you...
Better how?
They work - assuming you don't try running the crappiest, low velocity ammo out there. Run Mini Mags through it for the first 500 and have at it with bulk stuff after that. It's a semi auto, it'll be ammo sensitive. Don't see too many 9mm or .45 autos that run well with...
People dislike it because it costs too much (dealers fault, possibly Walther, too) and because they expect it to look and feel like a $500 gun.
It's a .22...don't expect it to be made out of high quality steel. I bought mine for $250 new (a while ago). Now I see them going for $350-ish. I...
