IMO that was the best 22 lever action made. They were very well made, shot great, and balanced superbly. It may ruffle feathers with the Marlin & Browning owners but the 9422XTR was top of the line.

Wow! I have that exact rifle. I bought it NIB 7-8 years ago. I figured it would go up in value but that is crazy. I would have no problem deciding to let mine go at that price.

If you were "re-hydrating" the plastic why would you need to boil the water? Why not just put it in water? I can see how you can boil plastic to change it's shape (boiled the end of my glock frames to get rid of pigs nose) but that was to soften the plastic enough to bend it, not to re-hydrate.

That is strange. I have always found the 1911 the easiest pistol to shoot. I have always figured that is why they are so popular. I wish all my pistols (glocks, sigs, rugers, S&W's, etc.) were as easy to shoot as a 1911.

I have had a 19 for years and decided to buy a 17 for a range gun. Right off the batt I shot the 17 so much better. Now I have 2 17's and my 19. The 19 still gets carried all the time. The 19 carries great. I plan to buy another 19 one day just to see if the one I have just doesn't shoot well.
