For an ultra inexpensive recoil pad check out el-cheapo flip flops. They sell for $2-$3 a pair (Wal-Mart, Dollar stores, etc.). They are ~1/4" thick and easily stacked/glued to get the thickness you want. Easy to shape with sandpaper.
That was my go-to bar in college. I won't admit how much time I've spent in there :o. I wonder if it's still the same owner. That sure doesn't seem like something Pete would have put up.
I am a huge, lifelong dog lover and can't really imagine ever living without at least one. "Magoo" was my best buddy that we had to put down last year at age 15. The wife and I were looking for a "replacement" for Magoo about a year before he left us, hoping he'd help train the new dog how to...
Since "goofy footed" has gotten full drift status- there is a simple way to tell if you are regular footed or goofy footed. Stand with both feet even, shoulder distance apart. Have someone give you a good shove in the chest. If you move your right foot back to stabilize yourself, you're...
Oils from your fingers can change the weight of the check by themselves and they can lead to oxidation which will also change the weight. This is much more the case with brass check weights.
Rebar and re-mesh aren't always so carefully placed (and kept in place) for pours. The fellas that pour slab houses are, in my experience, much more about quantity than quality. I did construction inspection for quite a while and you don't want to know the stuff I saw :uhoh:. I can say I'd...
On a similar note, I've always thought black was the absolute worst color for a flashlight. I continually astounds me that it seems to be the most popular color.
I searched around and couldn't see that these were already posted, though I'll be surprised if they haven't been mentioned/discussed.

These are bullets designed to immediately break into three pieces upon leaving the muzzle and are tethered together with...
These guys may well be above your price point, and I have no experience with their hunting packs, but it's certainly worth a look. Dana Gleason has long made some really great stuff.

I use a Fishpond chest pack that has a pocket for a (small) hydration bladder. That pocket is a perfect place to securely hold a pistol. I don't have to worry at all about it while I'm scrambling around. It rides high enough that everything stays dry unless I take an accidental swim.

Unless you want to have two 10/22s there's no sense in buying another receiver. Save the cost of the new whole gun to buy parts for the one you already have. 10/22s are one of the true examples where (to me) the receiver truly is the gun and the rest is just parts.
Here's an initial report of a local one from last week: http://newportplaintalk.com/story/41144 . I'd personally be surprised if she were not guilty of murder, but I won't be surprised if this ends up on the books as an ND/AD. It's not as bad as it used to be, but this is still Cocke County...
I've got one of these and absolutely love it.

I couldn't find anything comparable for anything less than 3X the price when I was looking for a hoodie fleece. I can't imagine I'd be happier with any...
