Is it possible? Can you say, shorten a .308 1/8", call it the .30 Whopper and then patent it and prevent anyone else from chambering barrel for a cartridge of the same size? The reason I bring this up is a discussion over the 6.5 Grendel and obtaining a barrel for it. Check this out...
Anyone have any experience cutting down a chrome lined barrel? I'm wanting to do this on a possible future gun purchase, but is there any chance I'll run into chrome flaking from the bore or some other problem?
Anyone know, or might be able to point out, what the laws are for ownership of the handgun in Kentucky for someone under 21, but 18 or older?
I know you have to be 21 to purchase the firearm from an FFL as well as handgun ammo, but that's about all I could find. Laws also state you can carry...

I'm currently wanting an autopistol to use on deer. From what's been suggested within my price range ($500), I've basicly settled on a 10mm in either a Glock 20 or 10xx Smith. But what...
I'm wanting to obtain a pistol that I can take deer with at 50 to perhaps 75 yards. I know the 10mm is a prime candidate, but there seem to be only two firearms in that category for me: Glock 20 and the Witness. The Glock is a great firearm and is what I'm aiming for, but my problem is that my...
I've seen a step-by-step building of an FAL from a parts kit, and besides compliance parts and a few tools (around $150 worth), it didn't seem that hard for a competent person to complete in their home.
Is building a G3 just as easy? I can get a parts kit for around $200 (sans receiver), and...
