    All around shotgun

FYI Ithaca makes a Model 37 28 gauge that looks amazing. My customer experience with the new Ithaca company has been great. My Wife and I both own new Model 37 featherlight shotguns.

    Ithaca Model 37 20 gauge

Me too... Only problem is they have a tendency to multiply. JMB knew a thing or two.

    Ithaca Model 37 20 gauge

If the price and condition is right you should seriously consider this purchase. You may have to pay a small premium for a 20 gauge. The steel receiver featherweights swing and point very well.

    Gun safes.

Bigger than you think you need but measure out your travel path through your house and ensure that what you buy will fit. Removal of doors and molding might be necessary. Don't get your helper trapped in the hallway. Crib underneath your floor if necessary. Sturdy uses industrial fire...

What firearms "terminology" makes you grit your teeth?

When politicians and anti gun activists refer to 30 round magazines as high capacity when we all know the truth. They are really just full capacity magazines.

gun insurance now banned in Washington state

Old Dog, I agree that Washington State has natural beauty, that can be said about many states. I was born here and have lived here most of my life. Like others, I have seen a very concentrated push with big in and out of state money being applied to the recent ballot initiatives. I hope...

gun insurance now banned in Washington state

We live in Washington State. My opinion is the west coast is being used as a pitrie dish by the gun grabbers. In our state, recent ballot initiatives have caused mass confusion. I then see the same language applied by law makers in other states. If they make law abiding people criminals due to...

At what age do you believe people should be able to own guns?

"Those of us who are older grew up in a different world" Yes! What has changed? When I was young Have a Gun Will Travel was my favorite show. My first "guns" we're a matched pair of Fanner 50s. I never had enough caps. Paladin wore a black hat but he had integrity and a moral code. Show and...

At what age do you believe people should be able to own guns?

Wow! You must be old! Yea, I remember Western Auto selling firearms. Guess that makes me old too. I believe owning a firearm should be allowed based on individual maturity and perhaps the living situation. I grew up in the foothills of the Wasatch mountains and my mother bought my used JC...

What are your best or worst gunstore stories?

I had a really good experience today. I visited a local shop I hadn't been too in years. The shop had changed ownership within the last year. The outside hadn't changed. Inside I was pleased to see 3 older customers kicking back talking firearms in sofas and easy chairs. There was a nice mix...

Safe in garage and climate variations

Call Sturdy The fire lining they use is fiber similar to what is used in industrial ovens. Unlike drywall or concrete, it does not appear to wick moisture. I may be wrong but I believe I read that Graffunder uses a similar material in their doors. I own a Sturdy but I keep mine in the house.

    New Ithacas M37s?

Counterpoint The new M37s are really sweet shotguns. My wife and I bought his and hers to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. Cheaper than a trip to Hawaii. She got the ladies stock 20 gauge which is a good idea for smaller shooters. It fits her well. The new M37s come with 3"...

A good handgun for wife ?

In response to DeepSouth post 13. Plus one, this works for me. She has purchased her own Sig 239 and Ruger LCP while I have managed to acquire some 44 caliber fire arms I need.

Starting the New year off right

I managed to find 300 rounds of 22 lr on the shelf at Walmart. I dug a little trench and put 60' of coax in the ground for a 2 meter J pole antenna. Great day here too. Happy new year.

There Are Theives Working At Sportsmans Guide

Do not trust anyone you cannot see. Trust few you can see. We put fraud alerts on ourselves, renew every three months. Lifelock has detected a thief for us. We are customers for life. We have had the credit card number stolen twice and my Wife's identity taken once. We now have a check card...

Thanks Ron. Manufacturing processes are probably closely guarded secrets. Even the tooling is probably proprietary.

    22 Ammo cannot find

I was thinking that if someone had the resources and technical ability now might be a good time to go into manufacturing ammo. I would start with rim fire. Creat some jobs, help the economy and keep our country armed and ready. What's not to like.
