    Good IR flashlight?

I was wondering how you ended feeling about everything. Thanks for the update, wait and see how it goes I guess

Good LED headlamp for night hunting, or whatever?

RCmodel looks like a nice little headlamp for the money, hope it's working out for ya! Ansel you have no idea how unhappy your wallet will get if you catch the light and battery bug. It's somewhat of a cheaper hobby but when you factor in how quickly new lights are released and how big of a...

Good luck with it, hope it works well!

Good LED headlamp for night hunting, or whatever?

Actually several lol. Most of your cheap ones that come with rechargeable batteries are considered "dumb" chargers because they will only charge in pairs of two and do not charge the batteries based on voltage or amperage but on a set time frame. For instance the 15 minute quick chargers do not...

Good LED headlamp for night hunting, or whatever?

I agree with you guys about LED lights. Take a look at a TK75VNQ70, it is a custom modded Fenix TK75 putting out 15,000 lumens. If you think LED lights don't "shine as far" then take a look at the Olight M3XS-UT, stock it's 250k candela for a 1000 yard throw. The TM36VN is a modded Nitecore TM36...

    Good IR flashlight?

Sounds good so far. Here is a link you should read regarding the safe use of lithium rechargeables, they are a lot more care than primary lithium batteries do.http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?235164-Using-Li-ion-cells-in-LED-flashlights-safely

    Good IR flashlight?

Banggood is an ok place to buy from. They are used quite a bit in the flashlight world. If you wanted it to be simpler here are the direct links to what I use from Illumn. They are button top cells and I see no reason why they will not work no matter how the light might be made...

    Good IR flashlight?

Actually depending on how the light is made, button tops may actually be required. If there is not a spring at both ends of the light and it has some form of physical reverse polarity protection, than flat tops will not work. If there are springs at both ends than flat tops will work. May want...

    Good IR flashlight?

You can also use button top batteries instead of nipple tops. As far as storage boxes, look at the one illumn sells.

    Good IR flashlight?

Sounds like a plan. Go with either a Nitecore Digicharger or an Xtar charger. illumn.com has both chargers and any battery you could need

    Good IR flashlight?

Sounds like the nightmaster is the way to go. I'd go with the T20 If I built it myself and could ensure the quality but I understand having to many projects. I always prefer when I buy something that has a good warranty and is from somebody who is reputable.

    Good IR flashlight?

Don't have much else to add light wise but as radagast said make sure to buy name brand 18650s and preferably a protected battery which will help prevent over discharge, short circuits, over charging, etc. Also make sure to buy a good charger. Mountain Electronics sales Xtar chargers and those...

Good LED headlamp for night hunting, or whatever?

While basicblur does makes some good points for CR123A cells, I have to say if you use Eneloop rechargeable AAs you don't give up much performance compared to a CR123A and have an even lower operating cost. They don't have quite the extreme operating temp range as a lithium primary cell but it...

Good LED headlamp for night hunting, or whatever?

Didn't think about it until ML-DOT mentioned. It's best to run AA lights on either lithium primaries or eneloop rechargeables. You will get the best runtimes and outputs with those and you don't have to worry about alkaline batteries leaking. What are your intended uses and distances? How big...

Link is fixed! I'm not used to how the insert link works here, on the CPF you can just copy and paste.

Good LED headlamp for night hunting, or whatever?

I highly recommend the Fenix HL35. I love mine and use it on a daily basis for hours at a time. Here is a mini review I did on mine http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?412750-Fenix-HL35-mini-review-w-pics Fenix has some of the best quality lights and headlamps available. Check...

    Flashlight recommendation

You are very welcome, glad I could be of assistance! The link below is a good read. I would recommend visiting illumn.com and picking up a good charger, either the nitecore D4 or one of the 4 bay Xtar chargers, and some good batteries. I recommend going with the keepower brand cells that have a...

    Flashlight recommendation

You're welcome! It's a pet peeve of mine to see people get scammed by sellers who claim a 15 dollar light is the latest, greatest, just released to the public, special forces certified, and puts out 4000 lumens. I also don't like to see people using cheap, low quality lithium batteries as they...
