I don't want a Sig P365. Tell me why I'm wrong or offer options.

I don't mind safeties, but I'd never get one on a M&P, Haven't found one yet that is tactile enough. My Shield Plus is sans safety.

Have you shot the P365? Not that I'm advocating for the Sig... I carry the S&W Shield Plus, but if I shot the Sig better it would be in my holster. All else equal, what you shoot best should guide your choice.

    My Carry Routine

I've been lax about my spray. Ours (wife and me) have a loud whistle as well. I'll be more diligent about carrying it after this post. Gun is almost always the same, only differs when I must pocket carry, then I revert to my LC9s. Otherwise, the S&W Shield Plus goes in a DeSantis or Crossbreen...

Stopped Cleaning your Gun! I did - You Too?

I once decided to let my SR9c go as long as possible to see what were it's limits. I gave up after 800 rounds and cleaned it, just because I like it.

"Oh my Gawd....do you have a gun in every room?"

Good on you. Sometimes the the most loving thing you can do for a dog is leave them for those better suited. Dogs are a phenomenal deterrent if circumstances permit. They are a hindrance otherwise. Ours is nocturnal by nature and I often hear her patrolling the home at night. When something is...

"Oh my Gawd....do you have a gun in every room?"

Congratulations on your first line defense strategy. Our home is similarly situated, but I'm still nervous about unsecured guns.

"Oh my Gawd....do you have a gun in every room?"

I don't know the OP's relationship with his guest, but I'm somewhat judicial about revealing my weapons and their locations.

Mixing it up for summer carry (P365)

6 days a week year round, shorts and T shirt. No change in carry. If I were cold natured enough to change attire seasonally, there would still be no change in carry.

    Carry Safety

That's a personal decision, which I fully respect. My LC9s has a safety (which is frequently checked) and the pocket holster covers the trigger. I'm quite comfortable with this.

    Ruger LC9

When I must pocket carry, the LC9s slips into my DeSantis Nemesis. And yeah... it's about perfect for that job. But Ruger seems to have a problem sticking to a platform. It's why I now buys S&W

    Condition 1 or Condition 2

This makes a lot of difference. You cannot draw and rack from a holster simultaneously, whereas from a bench it can be done while presenting the gun. Safeties, OTOH, can be disengaged as soon as the hand hits the grip.
