    Yankee Hill Machine Co. AR-15's?

I have that same barrel and and the carbine quad rail. Yankee Hill makes good stuff. However, if that's not exactly what you want, you'd be better to buy the components you want, and build your own, IMO.

Legal age to purchase an AR-15 in South Carolina?

Was it an NFA firearm, like an SBR or transferrable Class III firearm? That could be a reason.

    AIM surplus ???'s?

Another +1 on Aim. By the way, Mosin Nagant rifles were manufactured outside of the former USSR, as well. The Chinese MN rifles are just as authentic.

Only 7 days to apply for your Remington rebate.

How does this work, exactly? I bought an 870 at the end of November, so I'm assuming I download this, fill it out with whatever information, then send it in to them?

    Mosin-Nagant M1891/30, I need some info

Be forewarned if you register on 7.62x54R.net.... they do not tolerate ANY sort of alterations, whether it be a Bubba job, restoration, or even bringing a Bubba'd rifle back to its original configuration. Replacements for broken parts is a different matter. As for the 91/30, they're great...

    ar-15/m-16 in cold climates

My first duty station was Fort Drum. Our weapons and equipment worked in the cold just fine, and I don't remember ever using any other the heavy duty CLP while there (although it's possible we might have).

    What type sks

I bought a very nice laminate stock Russian for $250 from a member on another forum, and I bought a Norinco for $200 back in November. The most I've paid for any of my SKS rifles was $350 for an all-matched Albanian. $275 isn't ridiculous for a Norinco, but it's not particularly great, either.

    M 39 vs Lee Enfield No.4 mk1

The Enfield. It's the greatest bolt gun ever built. You can run light ball through a 39, but they're optimized for a much heavier round, which probably isn't going to be much easier to acquire than target .303 ammo is.

    So why the 223?

Para Rescue is the unit you're thinking of. I'd dare say they're not exactly the "norm" of the Air Force, though.

    Springfield M1A or DPMS .308

You can get any length free float tube or rail system you want, just as long as your gas block isn't up too high to fit it on. If it is, then you need to either get whatever length your gas block allows, or replace it with a low profile gas block.

A2 Buttstock and a one point sling-

You can replace the end plate, if you want to go that route. They make the kind the sling goes through, they make the hook mount type (personal favourite of mine), they make the ones which have the quick disconnect swivels.

    Best holographic/reflex sight

Second the Vortex recommendation. Good optic for the price. The rest of them can be a bit hit or miss. I know people who've had TruGlo products fall apart on them, whereas my housemate is using a TruGlo optic I originally had mounted on a .410 shotgun, and it works just fine.

    century c-15 ar 15 anygood???

What comes with the Sarco kit? Sounds like you'd be a bit closer to $700 than $600 (once you factor in your LPK and buttstock/extension tube/buffer assembly), but it would still be a damn sight better to spend the money on that than the Century rifle.

Which 5.56/.223 rifles will run steel cased ammo

Well, there's different grades of Wolf ammo, manufactured by different companies, and that's something worth keeping in mind, as well. Wolf doesn't actually manufacture the ammo - Tula Cartridge Works, Prvi Partisan, and others are the actual manufacturers (I forget the name of the company that...

Which 5.56/.223 rifles will run steel cased ammo

I use it in my Mini 14 all the time. I've run it in my AR before, though it's not something I make it a habit of doing (steel-on-steel, etc.). I have a friend who uses it in his Kel Tec SU16. But an AK platform would probably be best suited for it.

What's the Hk-416 look alike gas piston ar-15/ company name called?

In which case, the Taiwanese will have a precedent to sue HK, since they came up with the concept - and put it into service - long before H&K ever did.

    century c-15 ar 15 anygood???

Century products can be a bit hit or miss. If the price is what's appealing to you, you may want to try the 'bargain bin' rifles from CMMG for $599, or you could spend about $50 more to get a brand new Double Star 16" HBAR from Bud's Gun shop.

Firing a gun next to someones head indoors...

The other day, I was transporting a bulldozer. Total combination weight of about 110,000 lbs. Some jackass in a heavily customised Lexus SUV whips around me, cuts back right in front of them, then slams on their brakes to make that immediate right hand turn. If I hadn't been able to grab the...

    Springfield M1A or DPMS .308

Never got a chance to play with the M1A yet, but if it's based on the M14, as it's claimed to be, then it would use a long recoil method of operation, and not a short stroke system.. That being said, DPMS makes good products. I bought a 16" A-15 5.56 carbine in 2005. It has the chrome moly...
