Why are you interested in that one? He did not list a dash number. It is a newer one from 2010 and has the internal lock. There are lots of M 17 for sale.
When the FN 5.7 first came out. I had to have one (cool factor) and bought the FN. Paid way to much Shot it a few times and that was it. It didn't do a thing for me. was not real accurate as the trigger was very heavy and could not be improved, Sold it for a big loss. I do not see what it does...

Lets go back to the beginning OP. The OP reloaded some once fired brass (essentially new) He was able to "Sure enough the bullets easily slid into the case when pressed against the bench."
Only he knows how they were resized, flared etc etc.

Field strip it. Clean it. Manually rack the slid 50 to 199 times, Leave it with the slide locked back for a few days. Try some different ammo
Then call KT, they used to send a kit with all the parts needed.
By the looks of the soot on the brass, not very good seal or a weak load.
Cheapest is just use what uou already have. For 500 cases it's not a big deal

I have a RCBS manual, attached a 1/2" drill chuck variable speed corded drill (thanks Dad) Made a wood cradle to hold the drill lined up.

I have been lubing all brass since I began reloading even when using carbide dies.
I use diluted LEE lube (with rubbing alcohol) in a small spritz bottle. Put brass in a Tupperware container shake it around. It dries in minutes. No need to wipe it off (water based)...
