    H110 in 9mm Luger

So where does the problem lay? You may get proper ignition in the 9mm case due to pressure being adequate but there isn't enough "umph" produced by the h110 powder formulation load that can fit inside the case relative to bullet weight? Something like that?

    H110 in 9mm Luger

Why can't h110 or similar powders be used in the 9mm luger chambering? Operating pressures for 9mm seem to be in the same ballpark as 357mag and 44mag for which this powder is suited for.

    Help .357mag Overpressure signs?

The bullets are a uniform .358 in all bullets measured. Ok leaving aside judgement of correct charge weight, assuming powder charges were consistently charged (or overcharged), what would cause differences in the primers? Some are quite flattened and sharp and others are well round, totally...

    Help .357mag Overpressure signs?

Tracker57, the Lee second edition manual does indeed mention 6.2 of 231 as a starting load for 158gr lead. I just quadruple checked now. Maybe it's a misprint?

    Help .357mag Overpressure signs?

I was considering that and did dip the muzzle down on some and then up on others. Didn´t notice a trend.

    Help .357mag Overpressure signs?

So I am loading .357mag for a S&W 686-6+. Using Win231 and powder coated 158gr RN bullets sized at .358, win. SP primers. Cases are mostly Aguila nickle plated, some Federal, few Winchester. Load is 6.0gr of powder with a cartridge length of 1.590 (Lee load data states min 6.2gr/ max 6.7...

The P320: your gun handling skills are the problem

Nail 'em too, as I said. I was not aware of that but thank you for informing me about it. We should compile a s*** list of companies that produce bad products so we are in the know. Public scrutiny is good, and the internet facilitates that.

The P320: your gun handling skills are the problem

I think that the people who designed the P320 were in over their heads, given too little time and were under pressure, SIG Sauer under US leadership (Cohen and such) wanted a striker fired pistol to compete in large police/military contracts NOW. So they used existing hammer-fired designs (P250)...

    P320 Drop Test Failures?

What does Remingtonor any other company have to do with SIG's current safety issue and the way they are managing it? Remington probably is on many people's s*** list too... But that doesn't make the p320 situation any better. The pistol will still fire when dropped from minimal heights...

    P320 Drop Test Failures?

I find it scary how some SIG owners, or fans, are so eager to rationalize and excuse a clear cut SAFETY HAZARD. I can see how the company would try to deny it and cover it up, but end users? As I see it, the problem is two fold, one compunding the other: Problem 1) SIG Sauer launced a...

    I'll tell you which one I won't recommend: SIG P320 ;)

    IMR 3031 vs 8208 for .308Win

Which one tends to behave better with .308 winchester? Regarding velocity/pressure curves, which yeilds higher speed with less pressure issues? If you had to choose one for long range target work, which would you go with? Consider 155 and 175 gr. bullets, 24 inch 1:12 barrel.

168 SMK vs. 155 SMK Palma

Sure does ;) The reason I am asking is that all I can get right now are Sierra 168s and 155 palmas... and flatbase 150gr demilled bullets :( So, I guess I should go ahead and stock up on the 155s while they are still available... I am not shooting at 1,000m currently but I have access to the...

168 SMK vs. 155 SMK Palma

Comparing the two for long range (>500+ meters) in .308Win... which would be better? Would either one be theoretically capable of reaching 1,000? Consider a 24 inch .barrel.

    CZ550 manual safety malfunction

Well, I would really like to talk to a qualified someone before I do anything. I was hoping to get in touch with a knowledgeable person who might have an idea of what might be going on, point me in the right direction. Perhaps it is a simple known issue to people who work with CZs a lot. I feel...

    CZ550 manual safety malfunction

Posted this on another site, thought I might try THR for more insight: I have a CZ550 Lux that I bought new around three months ago, and now I am beginning to notice an issue with its three-position safety. When on full safe, (position three) the trigger and bolt are locked. When pushed...

help with heavy 45 ACP bullet

I won't comment on specific loads but just this weekend I gave my 1911 a test run with new samples of cast 200gr SWCs, 230LRNs, and 250gr flat nose bullets. I was very skeptical of running such large 250gr bullets through my pistol and basically expected them to be a disappointment, to give...
