I agree Cal, I dont think EVERY adult has the mindset to responsably carry a gun either. But I think, as you have pointed out, that adults are more likely to be able to do so with proper judgement.
The thing is, we cant apply laws to individuals, they have to be applied as a generality. SOME...
Thank you Cal, although, I appreciate that and think you have a mture outlook. Ido have to admit I disagree with you on most adults not needing to carry...to a point.
I am not a LEO, but I carry...and I hope I never NEED to carry. But I do in case it ever becomes a need in a hurry. I think...
Texas, as I said MOST, if you have stayed away from all of that, great, keep it up. And keep up the interest in guns....And I did read your post, thats why I mentioned my daughter. Some minors are responsible enough to own a gun..but many, and I will venture MOST are not. I have 4 children, 3 of...
No, I dont think Minors should be able to have them. Same reason I dont think they should drink, or have sex...Because most can't do it responsibly. My kids have guns, I have a 12 year old girl who has 2 rifles and a semi-auto pistol. She knows they are "hers" but I dont let her touch them...
Watching sons of guns is kinda like shaving my head with a cheesegrater, its slightly amusing, but mostly painful...I have come to think of it as kind of Porn for Mall ninjas...
OK Marie....So this wasnt your friendliest welcome to a gun forum. Unlike others, I will assume you have the knowledge of using a gun safely and proficiently. If you don't, please take the advice from some of the others and find someone who can familiarize yourself with them before looking into...
OK...So, Normally I like Taurus for the most part, but after looking at their 2011 catalogue, I have decided that they got sick of glock and hi point being uglier...These are some of the ugliest pistols I have ever seen...With the exception of the revolvers, the 1911, and the PT838, all of their...
Im not sure if this belongs in the auto or revolver forum...
yesterday I got a S&W Pre-Model 15 K38 Combat Masterpiece, for a song...Its in about 75% condition (mechanically perfect, bluing is holster worn).
Question is , Im an Auto guy, not a revolver guy, and am gonna take this to the...
You gentlemen just made my day...The gun is in great shape except for honest holster wear..tight as can be...Reason I am so happy is I bought that with a police issue holser and belt with cuff case for under 2 bills.........
Im not big into revolvers..but just couldnt pass this one up...Please tell me what you can including approximate value..

Hi there,
I just acquired another "stray" as my fiance' likes to call them, that needed a good home. She is an old 1891 Argentine Mauser that is functionally sound and headspaces OK...but...has been at some point rebarreled for .308...I'm not sure if I want to shoot this...I know the k98...
Dang, thats what I was afraid of guys....
I would rather have an original p17 or a remington Model 30..
Dont like Bubba guns, although this one they did a good job..but the word "sporterized" hurts my ears...oh well...
I still would have bought it for the 100 bucks I have into it, so I...
Hi guys...
I dont often run into a rifle I can Identify but I am stumped on this one...
At first glance it appears to be a sporterized remington 1917...Its marked "U.S. Model of 1917, Remington, XXXXXX" It does have bomb with flames and eagle proof marks, along with several others...It...
Adam, a lot of people are going to put Taurus down because of the price...But...I have a full size one in .40 and has been a very good gun and one of the more accurate that I own. I have experience with the beretta and the Taurus, and, to be honest...There isnt really a difference in my opinion...
+1 on for highorder and chopdoktor..
All I have to add is....Get familiar with your weapon and how it operates...read the manual that came with the gun...it will tell you how it should operate...If the mag locks it open, its not broken, its operator error...
