    .308 WIN Loads

Anyone got any experience with IMR 8208 XBR in .308 WIN? The burn rate for 8208 is in the accepted range for proper port pressure in semi auto rifles like the M14, M1A and Ar 15s. I have used it in an AR, just wondered how it behaves in .308.

M1 Garand shoulder setback, 0.010" too much for a one time firing?

I agree that in a perfect world, ie. the world of the bench rest shooter, that a case should be sized for the chamber for which it will be fired from. The reason that SAAMI specs exist is for the average chamber since in combat you take the ammo you are given. You don't have the luxury of...

Shooting Reloads at an indoor range

Please read the ATF regulations and the NFA (National Firearms Act). You can sell ammunition without an FFL, those sales cannot be to restricted persons (18 USC § 922 which is basically if you are under age, a convicted felon, not in the U.S. legally, dishonorable discharge, you're a drug...

Shooting Reloads at an indoor range

We had an indoor range that was charging $10 per shooter, would not allow reloaded ammo had to shoot their over priced stuff, and you couldn't pick up the brass. They are out of business now. We all had other options in our area. : D

    Waste water from wet tumbling

I de-cap before I tumble so the spent primers are in a box that goes to the metal recycle company in my area, with bad or throw away brass @.$.83/lb (cartridge brass does not bring top recycle price). As for the waste water, there will be mostly carbon, nitrate residue, and very fine particles...

    30 Cal bullets really .307"

Thanks for the input, like many other things in our culture there really is no standardization, like in traffic laws, and aviation, depends on where you are at.

    30 Cal bullets really .307"

I have measured my 30 cal. bullets and get .3075 on Noslers, .307 on Hornady and the "MIL" spec FMJs from Wideners (I think they are made by General Dynamics), using two different calipers. Any ideas?

    AA #5 vs AA #7

Anyone got any experience with these Accurate powders in .45 ACP ( 1911)? Recoil characteristics, like firm push vs sharp snap, and muzzle flash. Accuracy, and dirty vs clean (relative comparison)? There are a million posts on Accurate powders in this forum and I didn't want to run through all...

I kinda want to try h110

I have found that H110 has low flash especially compared to factory loads. H110 gives good performance in 300 AAC as well so you will probably see the same in the .30 carbine.

Just stocked up Powder, Bullets, etc.

Agreed Hey I totally agree, but until the laws are change, if ever, one has to be careful. There are those type of voters who think pocket knives are weapons of mass destruction, and more that one round is too much. Besides, I don't want anyone except very close friends and family knowing...

    Low Dust Dry Media

Wet tumble with stainless steel pins no dust, superior results!! NO DUST!!!! NO corncob or walnut bits all over the floor. De-cap prior to tumbling and you primer pockets are whistle clean and the inside of the case is like new. No dry media with anything you can put in the tumbler can match...

    BE-86

Good information, but just to clarify since Bullseye is a pretty fast powder #13 on Hodgdon's list and Unique is #31, I was curious about BE-86 comparison to Bullseye, that they were the same magic formulation. How does that work? Thanks

Just stocked up Powder, Bullets, etc.

Hey guys, I might be a bit cautious here, but I wouldn't advertise online about how much firepower or ammunition you have on hand. I have been reading some court cases in USCCA magazine where large ammo stores were used by city prosecutors to convict a home defender. The claim is that you're a...

    Good Powder Measure

Looking for a good middle of the line price wise, powder measure. I began shooting Steel Challenge and will be doing a lot of loading and a good reliable powder measure that throws repeatable accurate charge weight would help. Thanks

    Xtreme bullets processing/shipping times?

My guess is that with such a good sale they got swamped. Usually they are quick and you have your order within 3-4 days. I ordered some on this sale on 05/04/16, and will get them according to the notice on 05/24/16. So yeah the sale slowed them down.

    Term Usage "ES"

Anyone know what the heck the term "es", or "ES" means as a qualifier when guys post their load data results? Such as they will say that with a given caliber they used X.x grs. of XYZ powder with a XXX gr. bullet =, but they can't get the es down. Never heard the term, so ...................?
