    4+1... Enough?

I feel that learning these skills is more of a priority than 4+1 vs 5+1 vs 8+1. - Loading a shotgun under stress - Keeping it topped off while shooting Considering I'm fine with 5 rounds of 38 special all day every day, I'd be perfectly fine with 4+1 buckshot.

What 3 firearms for home defense?

What's the budget? Are we playing make believe here? Sig MPX SBR suppressed with subsonic 147 grain ammo. Smith and Wesson M&P 340. Ed Brown Special Forces Suppressed. I can't afford any of those. Yet.

Recoil of single stack polymer 9mm models?

I've shot a shield 9mm and glock 43. Both have very little recoil. I don't think anyone of normal physical stature would have any issues with the recoil of either of these. Hope this helps!

    S&w 638-3

I really like the 638. While you are reholstering, you can place your thumb on the "hammer." I just like the extra peace of mind while reholstering.

    7.5" Barrel AR-15s

I believe you asked me a question, but I couldn't hear you. Can you repeat that? :D

    Dirty rifles.

Wow that's pretty interesting. Thanks for making and posting. Any experts care to speculate as to why the results turned out as they did? So if I have an AR, I don't necessarily need an AK? (Yes I still need an AK) I would have liked to see a single action go through the same test, like a...

    Which shotgun for home defense?

For Home defense? First, determine what type of sights you prefer for the application. One bead? Vent rib? Ghost ring? If you ever want to upgrade/change the sights later on down the road, it can get very expensive. So it is important that you just buy a shotgun with your preferred sight...

    Handgun safe recommendation

Hey Y'all, I am in the market for a handgun safe. Here is what I am looking for: -Must be large enough for a glock 17 -Must be MECHANICAL, prefer it not to have batteries -Ideally it needs to be fast access -My budget for this is not very large Does anything like this exist?

I have never bought a 1911 because... I will need to be promoted several times before I can sensibly afford a 1911. But I'll get there!

OH NO! Not another "what should I get" thread!

Shield 9mm with the thumb safety.

NAA .22MAG as a Self Defense option

Get this: http://www.spibelt.com/products/spibelt/large-pocket-spibelt And buy a slightly bigger gun. Think airweight J frame (642, 638, M&P 340, 442) Ruger LCP, Glock 42, S&W bodyguard 380. You can mod this bag with a holster inside so that the trigger is covered. The draw is a LITTLE...

    Dirty Laundry

Good morning! Who else occasionally forgets to check their pockets, and unknowingly throws speedloaders and speedstrips into the washing machine? Do you use that ammo as range fodder? Or would you continue to carry it? I probably do this at least once every couple months. :(

    Varmint/Preditor Revolver

What about the Smith and Wesson 647? Might be a bit underpowered, but man it would be a hoot to shoot. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_785509_-1_775659_775655_757896_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y

    Dedicated HD pistol - Opinions

Glock 21 or glock 22. Although I wouldn't have a problem with using the g26 with a glock 17 magazine.

IWB Appendix carry holster for N frame

Is that an N frame or are you happy to see me? I couldn't help myself. Seriously, if this works for you, I would like to know how you pull it off. I can't even conceal my j frame in appendix position without a sweatshirt. Whatever holster I choose pushes the belt out very far. You can't...

What would you blow a 2k budget on?

I'd buy a walther pps in 9mm with magazines and holsters. I'd take a defensive pistol class and bring along a fullsize 9mm. I'd spend the rest on ammo.

Testing Self Defense Ammo in Auto vs. Revolver

In a revolver, you are simply verifying the point of aim with a specific ammo. So, with defensive ammunition, you only need to shoot a cylinder full. 5, 6, 7, or 8. Done!

Anyone here have these grips on their J frame?

OOOOOHH, I do like those. I may have to try some out.
