EVERYONE at the gun range is STARING at ME!! (if so, how to ignore)

People usually look at me when they seem my groups:neener: But one of the reasons I am addicted to shooting is this: As an ADD guy, I have thoughts and ideas jumping around in my head all day. When I shoot, I can "hyperfocus," as the OP stated. For the time I am on the range the only thing I...

Anybody ever worn out a .357 J Frame?

My 640 frame stretched enough to bring the cylinder gap out-of-spec. I shot it lots, with plenty of magnums. S&W repaired it, no sweat. I now shoot mostly standard and +p ammo, and carry +p.

    Which Rifle for Zombies?

I use a folding-stock (para) FAL, quad rail forearm, Leupold 6x42 (for low-light) and a surefire M4 light. I'm very surprised no one has mentioned the light. While I haven't seen the movie in question, it is a well-documented fact that zombies HATE bright lights, and you can riddle them with...

In praise of the 3" K-frame revolver

I have had a J-frame for a few years, and THEN I stumbled across a k-frame snub. Then I had to have one that was pinned and recessed. Then I had to have a 3" P&R round butt. Now the 3" is at S&W for an action job, & reset cyl. gap:)

    Snub nosed learning curve?

Mine was my first handgun. I didn't know it was supposed to be difficult, i just kept shooting 'till I felt I had become reasonably proficient.:)

    Question on S&W 66

2nd click is really quiet on my 65, but present. At faster speeds, the cylinder rotates and locks in place faster, and the click is louder. my 66 clicks a little louder, but neither is as loud or predictable as my 640. The 66 and 65 are older, P&R guns.

    Springfield MilSpec Parked?

Thanks! Get one and don't look back! The 'smith said the milspec slides are harder than the ones on the "loaded" models (putting on fire suit for incoming flames). The gun is heavy, and handles hot loads very well.

    Springfield MilSpec Parked?

Mine's great. I had it worked over by a local 'smith, master gunsmith and former SEAL. He reparked it. Parkerizing is inexpensive, and easy to have re-done. More wear-resistant than most bluing, but certainly shows holster and other wear
