    1911 problem

    Are you saying you have shot about 1500 rounds and you haven't cleaned it yet? That would be my first step. I clean after shooting 100 rounds. Actualy I would do a complete detail strip and clean everything. Then put it back together. Its easy, many videos on youtube.

    Press mounting thoughts

    My bench is 6' long. I wanted a spot for reloading and for cleaning/maintainance. I mounted my press about a 6" - 10" from the right side, and a powder measure 6" back and 6" left. On the left side of the bench I mounted a vise. This gives me plenty of room to reload and work on my pistols...
