coating
If he does coat the gun,pay close attention to the tightly fitting parts.anything that fits tight now will fit even tighter after coating, don,t count on letting the gun work itself loose it will bind up.you can use masking tape to cover the area you need too.
i would guess mag spring, first and second fed ok than this?check the mag for old oil and dirt.these usally feed and shoot like top when everything's good, great gun there.
I would try to find a barrel before cutting the 4 inch at all. Gun Parts Corp had some and might still have them, i know they have model 29 .44 mag stuff i just finnished doing a 2 inch build for myself(Wow)flame Throwing little Sob.It's worth calling them anyway to find out, good luck with the...
I made a little pin pusher for this years ago with a metal plate, hocky puck and a swivel arm set-up that works like a loading press kind of.pull down on the handle and a ram pushes a pin in a hole. the ram is counter sunk and i made different heads with different holes to fit all different sizes...
10 years puts it at 112 and a left hand action is good to find for us left-handers, yes pic's would be good but if you can get a ser. number you can go from there.the price is not bad for what it is.it would be good to do a test fire at least to check out the chamber but if it looks like it's in...
I know the mount your talking about here, for what there designed for they do OK. the little set screws on the side have to be torked down after the sighting in and paper shooting is finished or it will shoot loose. but it should also be bore sighted with a high millitary spud because of the...
he can check for a live round by using a dowl rod to measure the depth from mussel to breach face, if it comes up short by about the length of a live round than there's his answer for that. what it sounds like is a case seperation or rupture with the extractor in it's state. if the barrel is...
If you don't give the customer there old parts back, what you end up with after 60 years in the same building is boxes and boxes of broken rusty crap. i return old parts, good or broken because it's taken me 3 years of going through all thoes old boxes from all thoes old gunsmiths.
I can and have welded sheet metal with my wire welder, 18 gauge and 24 gauge. you don't weld a full bead you weld here and there untill you get the whole thing done. no warpage and no body filler when finished if you do it right. heat control, same as this sight repair. get in and get out.Tig is...
It could be something worth doing, we have some used parts that work fine and our rib man has some parts also he sells to customers that need them.you can call and talk to john tippen about the parts if you want to.There are some key areas that need to be checked out before spending money on...
If you just hit what is needed and don't linger it will be fine, kind of like a spot weld. it is really less heat than tig if done this way because there is heat up time.
It's a small spot but a very visible area, Tig is better heat control than Mig but if it's a pin hole and you can just hit it quick without wandering it will work. Match wire with surface and check speed and feed before welding, i would drill some bugger holes in something close to the same size...
Just to be clear, it was OMB express in Lenexa and not OMB Police Supply in Olathe. The Olathe store opened there new indoor range or it's opening this month. Robert did everything he could do to keep his company going but with the why this country is now it's no wonder more of us have not gone...
Also i might add that the Gun Parts Catalog has parts diagrams for most of what you have but if there is something else you need such as a picture or diagram, of some of us here have it and would send it e-mail to you. as with international parts shipments, my company does it (meaning me) as...
