    Ye Olde Boot Knife

I picked up a pair of Nocona cowboy boots a few weeks ago at a resale shop for $30. W00t. And as I've been wearing them, I've noticed that there seems to be plenty of space in the shaft for, well, carrying things. If for no other reason than the novelty, I'd like to get a boot knife, but how...

    Charter Arms Customer Service

On a slight tangent, have you tried any aftermarket 3rd party grips on your Charter?

    Questionable Gun Inventions/accessories

I actually love the 1911A2. I wouldn't want one, but it nice to see something REALLY different for a change, instead of yet another massive revolver chambered for heaven knows what.

The proper weapon for Appleseed courses

I for one can't wait to attend an Appleseed. I hope to go later this year. I know next to nothing about how to manipulate a long arm, having spent all my time studying handguns, and I see Appleseed as a cheap and fun way to get some real training. :)

    Paraffin Practice Rounds?

Somebody suggested to me that for cheap practice with a revolver, spent casings be re-primed and pressed into a sheet of paraffin, creating a paraffin practice bullet. Has anybody here tried this? Thoughts and feedback...?

451 Detonics, what semiauto are you hiding behind the revolver in your first picture?

    .600NE revolver

I find it odd that they used a single action design... forgive my ignorance, but isn't that type of revolver designed to have extra muzzle flip? Seems counter-productive.

    Steyer M9

Love the Steyr. A buddy of mine owns one and I borrow it for the range every chance I get. It's the only polymer pistol I would want to own. Easy to shoot, accurate, and the sight design is genius, IMHO. Oh, and the trigger has enough resistance to it it's like shooting a light double action...

    Best-LOOKING polymer-frame handgun

Believe it or not, I actually like the lines. Much more elegant than a Glock.

    Not your daddy's CZ-82.

Oh wow... all it needs now is a compensator and it could be a race gun.

    S&W 442...question

Slight threadjack: who does good after-market work on 442's and other air-weights? Sight inserts, barrel porting, cylinder chamfering [sic?], etc?

    Shooting e-Books

I was given a Kindle for Christmas, and I'm looking for cheap or free e-books on shooting with which to fill it. I'm looking particularly for classic stuff: articles or books by the likes of Fairbairn, Sykes, Cooper, Askins, and others of their ilk. With the exception of Massad Ayoob and perhaps...

You wouldn't happen to have any pics of you wearing it, would you, CPE?

    Snubbies and Fine Leather

That does look nice. I came across this paddle holster from Seidel's Saddlery, too, as well as this page from Saguaro Gun Leather, which appears to have at least a few Tom Threeperson's style holsters for J-frames.

    Snubbies and Fine Leather

I've been looking at getting a S&W 442 for a few months now, and while I can't yet afford one, I sure like thinking about it, and what I'm going to do with it when I get it, what gear I want, etc etc. Of late I've been thinking about how J-frames and other snubnose .38's are usually...

    What is this backstrap?

Well, this young whipper snapper learned something new. Does the safety depress flush with the frame when gripped, or does it beef up the grips slightly?

    What is this backstrap?

This S&W Model 40 seems to have an aftermarket backstrap on it... unless I'm having a brain fart and this is what all Model 40's look like. http://www.jgsales.com/smith-wesson-model-40-38spl-blued-revolver,-new-s-w.-p-5893.html

    Am I Silly?

..for wanting to put one of these hand guards on my 10/22? It'd just be for the looks really. I'm going to turn the gun into an LTR for Appleseed purposes, and I feel like a hand guard rounds out the the look nicely. I'd prefer one that was metal, but can't seem to find one anywhere. (I'm...
