    45 Colt, S&W and Corbon

Ok. I've heard that corbons 45 colt, 335gr load at 1050 is perfectly safe in a S&W model 25. 1. Is this the case? 2. Anyone know the saami of this load? Lindbaugh claims the MAX saami for the s&w model 25 is 32,000 psi. Let's discuss! Thanks!

    45 Colt Reload Components

Just got my Lee Loader for 45 Colt! Looking over the provided reload recipes, one that looks good to me involves universal powder. Is universal powder otherwise called 'universal clays'??? Also what brass, primers and lead rnfp bullets would you all suggest?!

    45 Colt Reloads

I posted a thread on reloading one or two calibers and turned out I'm getting the Lee Loader. Now.. I'll be getting a manual, but my question(s) is this: If I get the Speer manual, will it provide load data for cowboy style loads (250 gr lead @ 800-900 fps... and will is SPECIFY which bullet...

    Redhawk or Anaconda ???

One of the revolvers i've gotten a hankering for is a double action 45 Colt that can handle some of the hotter 45 Colt loadings (buffalo bore, for example). I know the Smith and Wessons are very nice, but not quite as up to the hotter loads. Now the Ruger 4" Redhawk (and other Rugers) and...

    Survival Shovel Multi Tool

Can anyone recommend a good survival shovel/multi tool? The quakes here in SOCAL have been rather persistent, let alone our yearly wildfires, and I'm looking to expand the emergency kit. Im dividing things up into bug out bags (short term emergency/quick evacuation) and a larger surplus...

    One, maybe two caliber reloading

I may have the need/desire to reload 45 Colt (possibly 45 ACP too); I do not shoot that much, maybe a 100 rounds a month, IF that. What suggestions do you all have for someone in my 'situation'?!?! I don't necessarily have the room for a dedicated, permanent reloading bench either. I heard...

    45 Colt Question

Figured this would be the best place to post this... hope I was right. My question is more about defense against animals while camping, rather than actually hunting them. I'm about ready to purchase a Colt Single Action Army in 45 Colt. I've already started buying the cowboy loads for fun...

    Snub Nose 45 Colt ???

Is there a Snub Nose 45 Colt DA revolver (@ 2" barrel) out there? I've searched, but no dice.

45 Colt ammo & gun question

Folks, my next gun is a 45 Colt Caliber (haven't decided). While looking at ammo selections, I noticed something peculiar at least to me and was wondering if anyone could explain it: Doubletap lists a 335 gr at 1300fps and 1258ftlbs. Buffalobore lists a 325 gr at 1325fps and 1267ftlbs...

    The Theory of Overpenetration

There is ALWAYS a rebuttal to someone's weapon choice concerning overpenetration. Now, its understood that a full auto 50 BMG isn't a good SD/HD choice against people in an urban area because the rounds will go through buildings. But for your typical SD/HD weapon... 12 gauge buckshot, 9mm, 45...

    M1 Garand/Ammo Question

Would love to get an M1 Garand... but my concern is that with ammo, you should ONLY use military surplus ammunition. I think Hornady is producing new 30-06 ammo made to duplicate the M2 ball... and it won't be cheap. My specific concern is this: how much military surplus ammunition is out...

    Henry Rifle 30-30 (Brass)

Folks, I've searched, read and can't search or read no more... I have a question(s) that I can't seem to find a definitive answer to. I know that the Henry Golden Boy lever 22 has a brass colored plate over the receiver... but what about the 30-30 brass model? Does this brass model use...

    CZ Hammer Coach gun

I'm "That" close to ordering a CZ Hammer Coach shotgun... it's about $300 more than the Cimarron coachgun I wanted, but CZ has a good reputation for weapons being relatively affordable and very well made. *You ever see one of their coach guns? Beautiful! I know their coach gun is made in...
