    Another disappointing die purchase

Are you talking about their lathe style trimmer? I also have one of those. It was my first trimmer, although I don't use it a ton anymore, it's trimmed a lot of brass for me.

    Another disappointing die purchase

I do agree with the part about Lee's customer service. It's a bit lacking imo. However, I do really like their dies. Lee dies with a Hornady lock ring on the seating die is a great setup imo. With Lee, you do have to be picky about what you buy. Some of their stuff is junk, while other things...

    Another disappointing die purchase

I've come to the opinion that Hornady dies suck. I've currently been fighting with a set of .40S&W dies from them. I have another set of rifle dies from them and I've not been very happy with those either. I'm going to go back to Lee or Redding next time.

    ArchangelCD is not well

I too am just seeing this. I haven't spent all that much time on here lately, but I'm sad to hear of his passing. He brought a lot of knowledge to the forum and has helped many people over the years.

Why I Think Open Carry Isn't Wiser than Concealed Carry (In Most Instances/For Most People)

The couple of people I know that open carry, do so at all of the places you mention. They have no shame in in exercising their right, nor should they.

Why I Think Open Carry Isn't Wiser than Concealed Carry (In Most Instances/For Most People)

I say this as someone who chooses to carry concealed the majority of the time. Your opinion is simply wrong. It's just feelings with nothing to back them up. It's exactly the same argument anti-gunners use against all forms of carry. It makes them uncomfortable, therefore they don't think...

How I load my PRS Ammo

Great post. One question I do have is why do you tumble to remove the lube before you trim, chamfer, and deburr, and then tumble again? For years I've been trimming, chamfering, and deburring right after sizing. Then I once I'm done with all of those steps I toss it in the tumbler to remove...

Titan has the Lee Ultimate turret press

Will they give you a discount on the 6 Pack Pro if you have a Lee Classic Turret? Or did you have to trade in one of their progressive presses? Did you have to pay shipping to send in your old turret press? Or how did that work?

OAL for .40 Xtreme 180 Grain HP

I get that, but I don't want to know my "max" OAL. I want a load that'll work in most any 40S&W I want to shoot it in. I also don't have the barrel since I'm waiting for it to come back from Jagerwerks. I usually try to fine tune the OAL to my gun when I'm loading rifle ammo and trying to work...

OAL for .40 Xtreme 180 Grain HP

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. I saw 1.125" in my Hornady manual, but I wasn't sure for these since the bullet is pretty different. Where did you find the Xtreme load data? I found a "Load Data" page on their site, but I couldn't find any load data. Just a page explaining their...

OAL for .40 Xtreme 180 Grain HP

Anyone load the Xtreme 180 Grain HP in 40S&W? If so, do you mind sharing your OAL? I'm waiting for my slide and barrel to come back from Jagerwerks, so I can't plunk test it in my gun yet. I'm hoping for a load that'll work in most any pistol.

    Power Pistol Alternatives

Thanks all! It seems like BE-86 is going to be closest to what I want. It's quite a bit cheaper, but now I just have to find it in stock. Sportsman's Warehouse lists it quite a bit cheaper than PV, but they are out of stock locally. Neither Cabela's or any of the other places I've checked have...

    Power Pistol Alternatives

I've been using Power Pistol as my main pistol powder almost since I started reloading. I've been very happy with it. It seems to produce good velocity and work in most common pistol calibers. It works well in everything from 380, 9mm, 40/10mm, to 45. I really have no complaints about it's...

    Retail Powder Prices (Ouch)

In my opinion this is one of my favorite gun shops I've been in. While the prices aren't the lowest on reloading supplies, they seem to have decent prices and a great selection.

Which Shotgun to Take on Quail Hunt?

It's going to be put birds. I really just have no idea what to expect from this type of hunt.

Which Shotgun to Take on Quail Hunt?

Yeah, I realize it's not an African safari, but I just really have no idea what to expect from a quail hunt since none of us have done one before. I do a lot of deer hunting with dogs and it's rough on guns. Bouncing around in a truck, or side by side, sliding under fences, through brush, etc...

Which Shotgun to Take on Quail Hunt?

Yeah, I should probably get over my fear of scratching them. My main deer hunting rifle and shotgun are pretty rough appearance wise. They have lots of scratches, bluing loss from riding in the truck, etc. I don't worry much about them. However, I've tried to keep most of my others pretty nice...

Which Shotgun to Take on Quail Hunt?

I'm supposed to go on my first quail hunt and I'm torn on which shotgun to take. My first option is an 1100 Special Field 12 gauge I bought years ago at an auction in near new condition minus the box. I initially thought this would be perfect. I bought it years ago and have barely shot it. My...

    Winchester Primer Questions

While that can cause the issue if the primer pockets are loose, it wasn't the cause with mine. I experienced it multiple times before I stopped using the brick. So it wasn't a single failure either. Nor have I had that issue with any other primers.

    Winchester Primer Questions

I'm one of those. It's why I don't buy Winchester primers anymore.
