    S&W service problems

Over a month ago I sent my Model 41 in due to a failure to fire problem. I had replaced the firing pin with no good outcome. The gun sat in the intake area of Smith for four weeks. I called and was told that it was no in the Performance Center, which is where they said it should have gone in...

    Ultradot NonWarranty

I just had the second one fail. Elevation on the first. Windage on the second. I still have two more. Would anyone like to buy a couple of sights on their last legs to give them a good home until they die?

    Ultradot NonWarranty

My sight is old. It was built by the original company and I understand they can't repair it. My claim is they bought the company to use the name and continue using the reputation. They used the same warranty, even phrased the same way. There are no weasel words in the warranty such as...

    Ultradot NonWarranty

I have several red dot sights built by Ultradot. I had one fail. Their warranty says "if we can't repair, we will replace" . The company changed owners but continues to use the Ultradot and name and still advertises the same quarantee , "Lifetime Warranty". Here is the correspondence I have...

Glocks and the new coated bullets

Thanks. I wondered if it was worth pursuing. I guess I will give it a go. I was sorry to see Rainier go under and Berry's, although very good, are a little pricey.

Glocks and the new coated bullets

Has anyone tried the new coated bullets in the Glock instead of Raniei's or Berry's? I was looking at the offerings from Falcon.

    Glock 35 brass question

I have run over a thousand rounds through my 35 about evenly split between full house and target loads. I have had no bulges at all with used brass. Gun shoots great and I love the new Burris optic sight on it. I used the Ghost trigger connector and a good lube job and it is doing well.

.40 S&W, whatcha got, what do you want

I started with a Glock 27 for carry. I did not really care for it, being a 1911 guy, but it was small, accurate and easy to carry plenty of ammo for. I have sort of adopted a few more. I now have a Modell 22, a Model 22C and the new one, with the optical sight, the Glock 35. Install the...

    Anyone Seen A CPX-3 Yet???

Sorry if I was too sensitive. I have been spending way to much time arguing with libs and I guess I forgot where I was. I have adopted a policy of not posting pics of guns. There are too many ways it can come back to bite you.

    Anyone Seen A CPX-3 Yet???

    (386) 310-7993 is the phone number for Top Gun in Daytona, if you would like to check my story. I don't post gun pictures. Why advertise? I notice you don't post pictures of yourself either. Although, I am not sure you have the rights to Cooper's picture. If you want to see one, wait for...

    Anyone Seen A CPX-3 Yet???

Further info on the release yesterday. The original delivered batch consisted of of 20 pistols, 10 in black and 10 in Tiffany Blue. It was delayed until about 12:30 due to a shipment of improperly sized recoil springs. They were delivered with one extra coil and had to be cut down and the...

    Anyone Seen A CPX-3 Yet???

I bought one today. They had their introduction at Top Gun in Daytona and released the first models. The slide is very easy to operate. The trigger is typical meaning long and fairly heavy but very smooth. The accuracy is good and was tested at 15 yards. I paid the intro price of $199 and am...

Strange guy in my tree stand!

Let the guy know you have the guns. Take cover behind a tree and tell him to throw his weapon down. A discharge into the air may be necessary to convince him. Take the weapon and tell him next time it will be his boots. He won't be back. The signs we posted said all the normal legalese as...

44 Special fired out of 44 Magnum

I have actually found the .44spec in my Taurus .44mag to be more accurate. I think it has to do with the lower velocity.

    What Pistol do you carry.

Glock 27 plus spare 10rd mag. Loaded with Magsafe.

    Concealed Carry Fanny Pack?

I have been carrying a fanny pack for almost 30 years. I have never once been asked "Is there a gun in there?" I have had LEOs surprised when I told them there was a weapon in the pack. I do agree with the noise the Velcro makes but have found, unfortunately, from experience that a really...

    Looking for best 380 ammo

I really like the magsafes. Velocity that won't be equaled. Recoil is very minimal due to light bullet weight. Rounds fragment after 11-12" penetration.. Hollowpoint with shot encased in resin.

Talk me out of a Henry Big Boy Rifle

I like the looks of the Henry and the action is smoother than my Marlins 1894s. I like both my .357 and my .44mag in the Marlin. They are both very light recoil and easy to shoot. Most of the time when I go to range with them, people line up to try them. Never had an unhappy customer....and...

    9mm help

Be careful you don't over bell and use a good taper crimp die. I like the Dillon die but others work as well. It is a very easy cartridge to load the only easier one might be .45acp.

    Mold in my vault

A fan will help. Get a good quality oscillating fan, put in on a timer to run about 12 hrs. a day and I think you will be good. I would get the humidity below 50% and sealing the walls and floor is not a bad idea. Concrete sweats.
