Yes, there is.
You can't decide not to be your ethnicity. You can disarm yourself. One is banning the person, the other is prohibiting an item.
While I think neither should be law, there is certainly a difference.
My local Dunkin' Donuts is a combination store that is also a Baskin Robbins. It's across the street from the a college campus, and I take my daughter there 1-2 times a week on average. I've never had a negative comment there.
It's been a while since I was on THR, so my social skills w/r/t to this forum may be a bit rusty. I say this as politely as I can, but I have to say it.
What gives you the right to judge my intentions? I OC daily, and I can assure you than none of your assertions are correct.
I carry...
Thanks Der Stro - yes, we have several more photos to run, but we're really going to need user participation to keep it running.
One of the next guns on the list is AR with a hand-fluted barrel (done with a Dremel).
I try to take heart in the fact that most of these guns, even if not attacked...
Not sure if this really belongs here, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
I and a couple of colleagues have just finished up the first iteration of BubbaGun.com, a website featuring the worst hacked-up, home gunsmithing projects we can get photos of. I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys would...
Just stumbled upon this thread, yet again, and find myself being drawn into it. A buddy of mine just wrote an article on the Marlin 39, and I've loved mine for years. I mostly shoot CCI CB Longs out of it, and .22 Short HPs for squirrels.
I'm in the same situation - we've got a curious 2-year-old. To make matters worse, we live in a small home, and she sleeps in our bedroom. She's often up before us, and can get into things before we're awake.
For my handgun, I just bought this:
For the rifle, I'm thinking about...
If anyone is interested, I recently launched Guns Wallpapers, a site dedicated to providing high-quality, free gun-related wallpapers.
I have a bunch of great photos on my hard drive from an online magazine I'm working on, and it just seemed a shame to let them sit there in the dark. I'll be...
I took my daughter first when she was 18 months. She sat in her stroller, which was a pain to maneuver, but that was the only bad part. In fact, I had an Israeli k98 slung over my shoulder during that trip, and traded it for a very nice CZ-52.
These days, she's 2 1/2, and she rides on my...
I got my little girl a Savage 1906 - she LOVES it. Quality slide action rifles are hard to find these days, and I hope it will be something she has for a looong time.
My understanding also is that the M43 7.62x39mm Russian cartridge predates the Russians encountering the 7.92 Kurz on the battlefield. My colleague wrote an SKS Review where he talks about the cartridge, and that was his opinion as well.
I'm curious - I don't have a first-hand source for this...
