What did your dad use the guns for? If it was something he used a lot I wouldn't sell it, but if it was something he bought and tossed in the safe after realizing how much he hated it I might consider selling it.
45 was never meant to shoot through doors. It is an excellent round though. No one disagrees with that. 9mm was a lot more effective before the internet and rapidly available ballistic charts. Same with 38.
They need to go about it right. Where I live, it's illegal to hunt anything with a centerfire rifle, save for the occasional groundhog or crow shot from the window of the truck. Yet, back when our walmart had guns, the entire case was stuffed with everything short field of artillery, except for...
Do not take steel wool to that gun. it's an antique at this point. It's worth more as an antique than as a working firearm. Taking steel wool to it would make it worthless and it still probably wouldn't shoot.
Glad to know that for every 15 dollar box of 17 ammo I buy they'll gladly give me 10 back for it. And for every 500 dollar rifle they sell me they'll buy back for 250.
32 acp cylinders are floating round but cost about half what the gun itself costs. I've heard of the 7.62 tok cylinders but I've also heard that they were prone exploding.
I've shot plenty of 32 long out of my nagant and it's been fine. The brass bulges but the gun is built for more stress than the 32 long is ever capable of producing. Plenty of people shoot 32 magnum out of it and do fine. I see no reason to shoot 32 mag since it costs just as much as the real stuff
