I vote for the Magnetospeed. Very easy setup and you don't have to worry about shooting it. It will throw off your point of impact, but I think that its a small price to pay.
I true up all my 308 and 270 rifle bullets with a Hornady concentricity guage. I don't really know how much it makes a difference other than making me feel like one less varible that I have to worry about.
I also do it because I shoot a 500 yards with both guns.
I use alot of the MTM boxes for the storage and make my own labels. But you can just use old factory boxes if you have them laying around. They just don't last as long.
Does anyone use a Ultrasonic Cleaner to clean their guns? I was thinking about buying this cleaner with their gun solution. Any thoughts?

I just wanted to give an update on this problem that I was having. I went yestarday and bought a Lee 4 die 45ACP set and reloaded 50 new rounds last night. I have to say that I really don't like the Lee dies that much but the crimp die did the trick. I have never used a stand alone crimp die...
This about the best picture I could get. The one on the left is little deformed and measures .474". The one in the middle is the one I ran thru my resizing die and it measures .469". And the one the right is a factory round measuring .470".
Yes that looks like a roll crimp to me. I seated first and went back and crimped the rounds. I think it caused the cases to deform.
For some reason crimping always throws me off. I have messed more ammo up from wrong crimps than anything else.
I agree I should have done the plunk test before I loaded up all the rounds. Thankfully it was only 50. The OAL was 1.270 or a little less. I think the problem might been the my seating die is a roll crime instead of a tapered crimp. I never had this problem before and just didn't think this...
I just started reloading 45 ACP for the first time last night and I have a question. I bought some 230gr RN lead bullets from Missouri Bullets and when I start to seat the bullets I was getting some cutting into the lead. I figure that I didn't open the case mouth enough so I expanded all the...
I have to say that I'm really glad to be almost fully stocked up on almost everything that I shoot. I did how ever get a new gun for X-mas that I didn't reload for and I'm going to have to wait a couple of weeks for my supply to come in. But you really don't plan for those scenarios.
I do understand your point on there is no perfect round for every situation but I think that I tend to buy guns for different situations instead of trying to create loads. It's a tough balance for me want to practice with a gun and a load that I developed and wanting to create a complete new...
I was doing some reloading this weekend and it got me think about some of the personal delimmas that I face while reload and go shooting and was wondering if other people fill the same way.
1. When I finally figure out a certain load for a gun I never want to use the brass, bullets or...
The one thing that I learned with my SPS is to spend good money on glass. After buying three 3 different scopes I finally ended up with the Vortex Viper Pst 6x24 FFP. I use mine strictly for targets out to 600 yards.
I'm not saying that you need to spend a $1000 on a scope but that is one...
I would say something like the Nikon or Votex with a BDC reticle and up to 12 to 14 power and some good binoculars to make sure you know what you shooting at.
Thanks I really appreciate all the different ideas that you guys have thrown out to me on this one. I have been loading for a couple of years now and this is the first time I have tried loading for a round that there is really low data on for rifle loading. Which I really don't know how much of...
After reading everyones remarks that was kind of my thoughts because I didn't crimp the bullets because is a H & R single shot rifle and didn't think that I needed too.
Sorry I was using 180gr SSP bullets and was shooting this through a rifle.
Hornady list H110 starting load at 17.3 and max at 20.0 and I went to 20.4 and still had problems with complete burn.
