    Resizeing 30-06 brass to 270

Since I don't have a .270 Win. (and have no plans to get one), I've never converted .30-06 brass to .270... However, I have converted .30-06 brass to .308 Win., 8x57mm Mauser, 7x57mm Mauser and to 7.65x53mm Mauser... And, since I do have a number of .30-06 rifles, I have converted a fair...

What happens if you accidently load a 380 case with 9mm and try to shoot it?

I lightly lube .380 ACP and 9x19mmP cases in my carbide FL sizing dies... Afterwards, I just wash them in hot soapy water (having used a water soluble case lube (RCBS Case Lube II))... A small amount of lube makes sizing much easier and slicker... Forrest

    Powder ???? - .303 British

I have been using IMR4320 and Herter's 101 (same burning rate as 4320, and I still have a bunch of it)... Hard to beat with bullets 150-180 grains in the .303 British...

Most accurate 5.56 and 7.62 (308) surplus ammo

Although I really like the Portuguese M/961, I've also found that the Czech ZV69 ammo is really good. Of course, it's corrosive, so you need to attend to your cleaning carefully, but it's full power and quite accurate... Forrest

Follow up: Charges dropped, gun at Pelosi's hotel

Reloading Brass Fired in a Fluted Chamber :Reply from RCBS

I reload both 7.62x51mm NATO and 5.56x45mm cases that have been fired in fluted chambers... Never have I had any problems... If you want to get rid of the nasty brass with the soot and lines on it, please feel free to send it to me (preferably before you take Coy Getman's advice about...

FNP9 owners - buying decision & need your help

I have one of the FNH FNP9 dutone pistols that I'm very happy with... Of course, I've only put a couple of hundred rounds through mine, so I can't speak to longterm questions. The gun feels really good in the hands and is very comfortable to shoot... I haven't shot the gun...

When did the U.S. miltary stop using corrosive ammo?

Keep in mind that some 'match ammo' was produced with corrosive primers in, if I'm remembering correctly, 1966... Probably with an LC headstamp... If I'm remembering correctly, of course..:) Forrest

.223 Remington Powders in Decending Order

By the way, in terms of primers, I have used CCI 400 (Standard SR) primers for all of my reloading life (which includes a lot of 5.56x45mm/.225 Rem.) and I have never experienced a pierced primer... This was all in M193 spec loads and some other 55gr bullets loaded to 3200/3300fps (depending on...

    Greatest Battle Rifle Ever

Actually, how do you know when your rifle is empty? With the M14 and M16, it's when you pull the trigger and nothing happens and you then notice that the action is locked back on an empty magazine... With the AK-47/AKM/AK-74, it's when your rifle goes 'click' and you don't even have the...

    Greatest Battle Rifle Ever

I keep hearing people say that the M16A2 is lightweight... Has anyone ever carried an M16A2 and a Garand (perhaps not at the same time, of course :))... The M16A2 weighs almost as much as the Garand, or at least close eneough that there's not a very noticeable difference... The M16A1...
