Pistol Bullets: How do you rate them in terms of accuracy?

I've been reloading for a long time now, and I like to experiment. I've reloaded may types of pistol bullets, and formed my own general opinions on how accurate, in general, they are, based on construction. I thought it would be interesting to see what others thought. How do you rate the...

    American-made Sig P210 Target

I couldn't resist, yet again, and bought one of the new American-made Sig "P210 Target" pistols. I passed the background check, yet again, and can pick it up monday. Anybody else get one of these? They have a hard reputation to live up to, compared to the old swiss ones, but I actually like...

    Anybody load 9.3x62?

Does anybody else load 9.3x62 Mauser? What bullets and powders are your favorites? Just bought a sweet, never fired, CZ 550 American. I Have Speer Hot-Cor 270 Gr, Barnes 286 Gr solids, and 286 Gr Nosler Partitions. Norma Brass. I'm thinking 8208 XBR, or RL15 to start. What works for you?

    FN Winchester 101

I picked up one of the Belgian FN Winchester 101(s) CDNN has. My take? Built very solid. Great as an upland bird hunting gun...too light for trap, skeet, or sporting clays. Nice fit & finish. It isn't a Browning Superposed...but as a hunting gun, it would be almost as nice.

    OK, I was wrong....

I'll be the first guy to admit, I never embraced a polymer pistol. I've been a dyed in the wool 1911 and Smith guy for four decades or so. I tried Glocks, and just couldn't embrace them. I ordered a Shotgun (Winchester 101) from CDNN, and had to do a FFL transfer though, and they had a M&P...

    Anybody try Starline's Rifle Brass?

I've always loved Starline's pistol brass. Now they make some rifle cases. I've ordered 500 .308 Win cases, based on my previous experience with their products. I'm interested in any opinions of people that bought and tried their rifle brass. I'm not expecting Lapua quality. I'm hoping for...

    .260 Rem or 6.5 Creedmoor?

I'm looking to build a new target rifle. Probably another heavy barreled Savage bolt. This will be a typical Savage build, with a custom barrel (PacNor or Shilen), a Rifle Basix trigger, and potentially a stock. The key question to me is .260 Rem or 6.5 Creedmoor. I'd like 6.5x284, but it is...

Some rifles are just easy to find loads for.

I was lucky enough to take a day off today, and test some loads on a new Savage project gun. The plan is to skim bed, put a drop-in Pac-Nor barrel on, and a rifle-basix trigger. For now, it is bone stock, a fresh scope mounted, and it's first few shots. Being that I planned on a replacement...

    Frustration is...

...when your carry gun doesn't like the load your range guns like, but loves factory ammo, and you can't buy the bullets used in the factory load. Anybody ever seen the 135 Gr Flexlock bullets for sale that Hornady Critical Duty 135 Gr 9x19 uses?

    Happiness is...

...finding that third 8# jug of Varget that you bought years ago, and forgot, when the last of the previous jugs were gone...and no more is found on Gunbot. $145 when purchased.

    NF BR Scope: Worth it?

I'm doing another Heavy Barrel Savage project. The base rifle is a Model 12 BVSS in .22-250, and I plan to get barrels for it in .22 BR and .260 from Pac-Nor. (I've had some wonderful 6mm BR barrels for a LRPV from them.) So the rifle will be used as a target/varmint rifle. If all goes...

Uberti 1873 Replicas - .357 Mag: Full power loads?

I have a Uberti 1873 in .45 Colt. When I got it a few years back, they had one in .357 Mag, with really nice wood. I would have gotten it, but I was uncertain if it could handle a full power .357 Mag load. The 1873 has the toggle-link design...which is great for Cowboy loads. I have a...

Cheap tumbling media - Petco Zilla Lizard Litter

Are folks referring to Walnut, or Corncob? The corncob looked like larger than ideal kernels. The Walnut smaller than I remember walnut. I got a few bags of Walnut. Any good source for corncob? Otherwise, back to Lyman or Midway for corncob...it looks like. I'd rather get JHPs...

S&B Primers - Good to go?

Any feedback on S&B primers? Good, reliable? How warm are the standards? It has been so long since I've seen Rem 7.5's in stock, at a decent price. S&B makes decent cartridges, as I recall. I've never used their primers in all these years.

    First revolver: S&W 19-2

All my handguns have been C&B Revolvers or Semis, until yesterday. I don't know much about about revolvers, but always liked S&W 19(s), 29(s), and Colt Pythons. (They just seem to have ideal ergonomics for me, the Python, perhaps being a tad nose-heavy.) Yesterday, I spotted a S&W 19-2...

    Best Brass Tumbler Brands

Considering only vibratory tumblers.... Another, well used Lyman bit the dust. I need a new one. I'd like a good one. I've had Lyman(s), and have generally happy with them. They've lasted about 5 years of use and abuse. I'm interested in other brands. I've no experience with...

    136 year old new baby

I've been wanting an 1873 Winchester pattern rifle all my life, and finally laid down the cash for it yesterday. Fit and finish was great. The action was slick, and trigger was nice for a levergun. A new baby. Now the question is what do feed it. Its a Uberti 1873 Winchester in .357...
