What are these 1911's and what are they worth?

Colt frame from '41-'42 (WB inspection stamp) would be worth some money if it had the correct Colt slide and in original finish. Link to a Colt example: https://coolgunsite.com/images/1911/1942_USN_Colt/1942Colt1911A1oakland.htm

    Question about Ed's red.

I also skip acetone for the same reason and it works fine for what I clean. I also use lamp oil for the kerosene - less odor. I think the above answer covers the ATF.

    Banish 22K review

^^ Thanks for that. I have one on the way - stamp got approved a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know what to expect either. I'm stocked up on plumber's grease, which was recommended to coat the innards for easier cleaning. What about "electrode gel"? It was recommended for a 9mm can for "wet"...

Building a 10/22 with no Ruger parts

I had a few modified Rugers with mostly Volquartsen parts/barrels. Then I ordered a Kidd supergrade barreled action and bedded it in a Boyds stock. I can't out shoot that one, so I'm done.

In my case it just takes 1/8" or so, hardly noticeable, to cure my bite.

    CMP 1911 (round 3)

My buddy sent his off yesterday. I've been following the CMP forum and it looks like folks are still being offered all grades, but who knows how long that will last.

    CMP 1911 (round 3)

My number was 33191, very close to yours. I received a refinished 1939 Navy frame with a post war hard slide. I chose Field grade, hoping to get a matching slide/frame in older condition. It didn't work. It would be a great shooter with the hard slide, but I have plenty of shooters.

    .223 Reloading Question

Get or borrow an RCBS or Hornady collet type bullet puller - much easier/faster to break down loads.

    1911 issued in 1914 —value?

Check this listing of a 1914 pistol from Jackthedog. Maybe not representative of your friend's pistol, but Jack gives very good descriptions and photos of his items for comparison. https://www.gunauction.com/buy/17234997

    AR feed ramp

Pre 94 HBAR likely has rifle feed ramps. When I was building them back then, I would relieve them (barrel extension and upper receiver) more like the carbine feed ramps. A chain saw file bit works pretty well. That likely won't eliminate damage to bullet tips, but I thought it helped. You can...

What do have waiting for you in the reloading room?

Four batches of brass from a recent prairie dog shoot. All are cleaned, one batch sized, need to anneal 2 batches and check all for trim. Not sure if I will load them back before a fall hunt. I have plenty of components from way before the covid.
