Got a new 1911. Sold my G19 to offset the cost, but well worth it. The grips are G10 material made by LOK Grips. They are great! For the price, this gun is sweet. Shoots very nice and the action is nice and smooth. Very pleased with this purchase.
I especially like this part:
What if the violent felon is DOA after the SD incident? Would we still be subject to a lawsuit by BG's next of kin? Food for thought...
The shooter was using a stainless Beretta 92F (right model designation? don't know Beretta's). The Police Officer dropped the shooter with a Remington 870 (00 Buck, head/face shot from 12-15 ft. away) Shooter was only ID'ed from his driver's license.
There were two unarmed CCW's in the audience in close proximity to Dimebag and the shooter. Read this: http://www.ofcc.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2603

I mentioned my Ruger KP-89 as being both reliable and accurate in an earlier post in this thread. Now I need to throw in that my Mil-Spec has been %100 reliable and is scary accurate! I didn't know I could shoot a pistol that well. As a matter of fact, the Mil-Spec is going to be my carry...
My wife and I had a discussion like this today. She said, "I don't care what you buy, as long as the bills are being paid." Seems to be a popular response on this thread. :)
Homak 7-Gun Security Cabinet
I recently purchased one of these. The model I got was the ready to assemble one. It fills my needs nicely. Check out my review on my website (see sig line) for details. :)
Sniper?
Around here (Ohio, Columbus area) my shooting buddies and I don't honor him with the term "sniper." We always referred to him as the "270 Shooter." I-270 was where most of the shootings occurred, for those who didn't know already.
