Anyone know where to find a Savage 6.5 Creedmoor 20" fluted barrel (22619)?

Savage discontinued these years ago, and no longer makes a 20" fluted/threaded barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor. I used a 20" fluted/threaded 308 barrel to make a nice light sub MOA rifle with scope for some longer range shots and wanted to do the same with 6.5 Creedmoor. I did manage to track one down...

Hunting down the Remington Core-Lokt 200gr 35 Remington bullets...

Of those who have managed to get hold of some where did you find them? Shows? Online? I have posted a few wanted ads in the day, and someone usually responds, but then never follow up. Nobody wants to give them up, not that I can blame them.

32 W.S. Load Data Leverevolution Questions

So I took ownership of a couple pounds of Leverevolution powder for my 30 30, 32 WS, and 35 Remington. The only 32 WS load data I could find comes from Hornady where the same charges are listed for the FTX and the traditional FN, the former of which seats much further into the case than the...

Ramshot Big Game vs Tac in 8mm Mauser

Anybody reload for 8mm with either of these two powders. Almost the same velocity and pressure from both. Since the shortest rifle I have is ~23", and there is almost 63gr H20 capacity, I am thinking that big game is the wiser choice

Wow, 26.5gr of Varget under a 60gr SP in .223/5.56

Someone told me 26.5gr was a sweet spot for Varget under 60gr bullets. (That technically puts it into 5.56 NATO pressure territory) I thought I was doing good for a hunting load once I hit 26.0 gr with a nearly all touching group stretched to 5/8"-3/4" because of a flyer, similar to my work up...

Lyman Brass Smith Press, recommendation? Sale Prices?

Saw this a while back, was thinking of picking one up for its short stroke for decapping, etc and to have another single stage on the bench. Anyone have experience with them? Do they go on sale, and if they do, what price do they typically go on sale for?

Strength of Rem Model 14 and Win 1894 vs Marlin 336 action

Greetings all. Just wondering how the strength of the Remington Model 14 and Win 1894 compares to the Marlin 336 action. Plenty of people reload for the 336 in 30-30 and 35 Rem at higher pressures. Even the Ramshot load data I have shows loads in the range of 38000psi for 35 rem. I don't...

    30-40 Krag Carbine and 165gr vs 180gr

Well I am planning to start loading for 30-40 krag I don't have any round nose bullets this time, will probably purchase the next time I go component shopping Most loads seem to revolve around 180gr bullets. They say krag throats tend to be long for the original 220, but assuming that the...

Ramshot Hunter for 165gr SP 30-06

Greetings all, started to put together a load with Ramshot Hunter in 30-06. Just have a question for those who use Hunter. Noticed that under 165's max load is 61.9(7)gr and that it is compressed (the Western powder manual actually doesn't show this only the PDF reloading guide does) I want to...
