    New .45 Bullseye Bullets - H&G 130

Missouri Bullet: By now you most likely know that Wilson is loading several of their own 45acp for sale including one LSWC with 200gr H&G #68 bullets (rated 875fps in a 5" bbl). Any plans on your part to produce this one, or does one of your proprietary bullets already meet the #68 specs...

    Prvi Partizan Ammunition

I've used it as well in .223. It's not match ammo, but a good value for the price. Reliable, and good brass.

    Single point slings for AR's

I like the Magpul single point sling and their ASAP. It makes transitions from strong side to weak side very quick and easy. No getting tied up in two point slings during transitioning in other words. There are Youtube vids of Travis Halley using the magpul system; very impressive.

Rock river COYOTE VS PREDITOR PURSUIT

I have a Predator Pursuit .223 upper with the 1:8 twist. This upper has a 3/4" moa rating per RRA. I believe that it's about a pound lighter than the varminter. I bought it to shoot heavy bullets at long range. In Jan. I took this setup to GPS Sniper School in AZ, where I was shooting 77 gr...

Micro Red Dot - Sig vs. iTAC - are these the same?

Identical specs According to the specs given on BOTACH's website: both use a 3v lithium batt. CR2032 both have an 8000 batt life at position 1 I had to go to the respcetive websites for the following: water resistance = 1/2 meter for 30 min. per www.iTACdefense.com I couldn't fine the...

Micro Red Dot - Sig vs. iTAC - are these the same?

Or the red dot's made by another optic manufacturer (OEM) and iTAC has the exclusive distribution rights for the US. The scope seems to be of substantial quality - the aluminum housing is of quality construction, the dial knobs are all robust, and the red dot is clear and crisp. It seems to...

Micro Red Dot - Sig vs. iTAC - are these the same?

I ordered a Sig Micro Red Dot and the supplier sent an iTAC in its place. They said that it's the same product. I went on line and searched for iTAC, and found that it's a new company offering shooting accessories and they're located in NH, as is Sig USA. The scopes appear to be identical...

Surefire Saiga mags and 922r compliance...not made in US?

Made in the USA Just ran across this thread and wanted to provide update re Surefire status. I have a brand new Surefire Mag, marked" Saiga 7.62 x 39 Made in the USA". Both the mag body and base are clearly embossed on the plastic with "Made in the USA". Most already know this, but...

Why Marlin discontinue the 9mm and .45ACP camp carbine ?

A couple of years back I too was looking for a camp carbine in 45 acp to mate up with my 1911's. However after researching the topic, I came to the same conclusion: aside from being discontinued, they're too expensive and too poorly built. But the concept is great. I ended up with a Beretta...

    Optics question

I've got a Jpoint on a pistol, and it works great; currently JP Rifles is selling them direct for $250 on summer sale, but you also have to spring for the base mount for more money. I'm also in the process of buying a Burris Fast Fire Reddot, which is a clone of the Jpoint/Dockter and can be...

mounting a reflex sight on ar15 with carry handle

csd: I've tried optics mounted just about everywhich way and all types. Here's my .02: With the Eotech/reflex type scope low and forward, i.e. scout style, for me it's both eyes open and it's really fastest. With the scope on top of the carry handle, you sightline is high above the...

Saiga vs Regular AK vs SKS

I was just at the gun show last weekend, and a survey of prices was revealing. Lots of junk for $300-500. Saiga was priced at $800. Attractive AK clone with cast receiver at $1100. I think that the prices have gotten ridiculous. For that kind of scratch, there are alot of other fine choices...

    beretta cx4 carbine

I use my Storm for shooting steel in tactical matches usually out to 80 yds. max. This is a fun gun, and since it's pistol cal., IMHO it's not meant for shooting precision/tight groups. I have a discontinued Hako red dot sight on it which makes it very fast, and it whacks steel every time. I...

    Glock 17L vs 34

Essentially it was a drop-in with some minor polishing for aesthetics. Storm Lake indicates that Glock manufactures to pretty close tolerances. I would imagine that a barrel for a 1911 may or may not require gunsmith fitting depending on the manufacturer because of the wide range of producers...

    Glock 17L vs 34

Consider a G34 plus a new ported Storm Lake Barrel, 6.02" long, which is equitable to the length of the G17L! The bbl actually protruded ahead of the slide with 2 ports out front. The barrel can be ordered with up to 6 ports total. I haven't shot this setup in the G34, but I have in a G35...
