Sorry. I meant anyone have a G3. G19 that is a few months old only with no problems. Some of the issues i have read about with regard to recently purchased g19 g3 models makes me wonder if i bought a lemon.

Probably fine. Are you using S&W mags? In case you are interested S&W now has a metal mag release for 908 instead of the plastic one you probably have. If you replace it make sure you also replace the magazine catch nut.

What ammo? What mags? Did you take anythink apart execpt for what is told in the manual?

Check you gas tube alignment. Take the bolt out of the carrier and the upper off the lower. Now insert the carrier alone in the upper untill you can see it through the eject port with upper parallel to the floor. Now gently tilt the upper muzzle down. The carrier should slide forward once...
