The SCOTUS GVRed two cases covering magazine bans and an assault weapons ban right around the time they issued Bruen, pretty clearly telegraphing their intent.

Suddaby's ruling has made quite the splash.
The antigun are just now realizing how screwed they are in light of Bruen.
This guy isn't a lawyer but I like the way he thinks:

Huge victory. We're not quite out of the woods yet though. The judge gave them 3 days to appeal before this ruling goes into effect.
Also, I am still not a lawyer.

Finally finished reading the Bruen vs NYSRPA majority opinion.
Kathy Hochul is thumbing her nose at all of SCOTUS.
Bruen specifically disallowed declaring pretty much everywhere a "sensitive place". (pg 28 of 135 in the PDF)
Hochul did exactly this in her "Concealed Carry Improvement Act"...
And here is how the legislative branch is going to have its arms twisted until they comply:

****'s about to get wild. (Possibly really quickly.)
I can't read minds, but the SCOTUS does not seem happy with how the lower courts responded to Heller. Speaking as someone who's been in front of judges, it is never a good idea to piss a judge off. And this just screams pissed off judge...

Christmas came early for gun rights supporters this year. :)
Sounds a bit like what happened with Brown v. Board of Education. Yeah, if various factions refuse to abide by the law things could indeed get... messy.
I'm not a lawyer but I envision contempt of court charges and worse, if people decide to take the path of lawlessness. I wasn't around for it...
I remember a time on this very website where people were hoping for strict scrutiny when it comes to NYSRPA vs. Bruen. But as I read the ruling it seems that Thomas did something even better than that:
From page 16 of the ruling: "Despite the popularity of this two-step approach, it is one step...

Actually from what I can tell there's truth to this. Both GOA and FPC are moving on it.

Very disappointing that the ACLU and NYCLU filed an amicus brief on the side of New York City in this case.
The ACLU isn't getting any more of my money for a while.
