It's cool looking alright. I've owned two. To operate is a completely different story. The manual of arms for that thing makes it a bear to master. If you have the unconverted "paddle" style safety be EXTREMELY CAREFUL. Franchi converted them to a push button safety during a recall. The paddle...
Loudon County FOP has a range off I-75 at the Sugar Limb exit. You have to join the Loudon FOP at the top of Sugar Limb Road (The Justice Center). It's around 20-25 bucks a year.
My best friend in high school received one for a birthday present when he was 13. We both shot through bricks of .22s with the old Ramline "teardrop" drums and Butler Creek banana mags. We are both in our late 40's now. I cleaned the gun a few years back for him to show him my...
I did but must confess it was after I posted. This was still helpful in that I really didn't need to read pages of how to properly wrap my gun in anything but newspaper.
I am wanting to surprise gift my friend a revolver. I live in TN. and he lives in Ohio. Are there any issues with me doing this? Neither of us are prohibited from owning arms in any way.

It's really just a model 500 with two major differences. The 88 has only one action bar and the cob is not removable like the 500. Some say the 88 is a bit less polished internally but I find Mossberg lets the customer do the polishing on all their guns.
Our boss in his ultimate wisdom:cuss::banghead: decided our old Wingmaster riot guns were a liability. He had them taken to a local scrap yard and crushed. I was not allowed to salvage any part of the guns despite telling him the receiver was the only part considered a gun. These are the types...
I've had all of the above and will note problems with all. The side saddle- Any addition that adds material into the receiver which was not previously there can cause problems. Being a lefty, my first shot with a 3" mag caused the side saddle to recoil the sharp rear edge into my finger. It was...
I don't feel the 1911 platform is beefy enough even in enhanced form to handle the round count a Glock can. The Glock's capacity would also be a factor.
