    .308 Winchester - Stuck Case

The one left I had loaded in the NATO brass was 0.336" and the three Hornady cases I just loaded are all 0.335". Working my way up with the hornady cases now with no issues so far. 37.1gr went 2140 and ejected nicely. I guess the NATO brass will be reserved for subs. Should work ok for that.

    .308 Winchester - Stuck Case

Yes I FL resize and trim the cases. I loaded one as I did the first one that stuck in the chamber but with a hornady case, sized and trimmed to the same length and the same 35.0 gr Varget that the hornady manual says for 2100 fps. Got 2050 and the case was not in any way tight after firing...

    .308 Winchester - Stuck Case

Thanks for all the input guys. As far as the case lengths all my cases were all 2.010" or less. As soon as it quits raining I'm going to test some 308 win brass.

    .308 Winchester - Stuck Case

I'm at about 2.820" however I'm am positive that I'm 0.025-0.030" back from the lands. In the Hornady manual the VLD-X is very close in charge weights to their other 178 class bullets. Ok. I was mistaken. These got loaded with CBC 12 cases.

    .308 Winchester - Stuck Case

Yes I have fired a several different factory full power loads without problems. This particular brass was new loaded ammo and was fired without issues. The brass I'm having trouble with has not been loaded as subs, it was factory ZQ1 ammo and I sized trimmed and de-burred. I'll check the case...

    .308 Winchester - Stuck Case

The bolt was tight to lift and it would not open to the rear. Had to tap the case out from the muzzle end. Haven't tried the sharpie trick on a loaded round. I've checked with a fired case dented in to hold the bullet tight. Left a bullet out long and chambered it and measure with a bullet...

    .308 Winchester - Stuck Case

I guess it could be. I'm using RCBS dies I purchased new. This is the first supersonic loads I've done with this rifle and dies. Up to now I had been working on sub sonic loads. They all functioned properly, that said there a lot less pressure in those loads.

    .308 Winchester - Stuck Case

Going to be a little long winded but here goes. So I'm working up a load for my Savage FP-SR 16" bbl in .308 Win. I'm working with some of the 178gr Hornady ELD-X. I have some MKE head stamped 7.62 NATO brass and so far in reading, the start loads are about the same with a reduced max for 7.62...

2014-Q2 Rimfire Match: Long Range Challenge

Here's my first attempt. Savage 93r17 @200yds. Calling it a 25 as the two shots on the right are cutting the line ever so slightly.

    2014-Q2 Centerfire Match

Well i guess I'll get things started. Here's my two attempts with my 16" Bushmaster w/1-4 Millett and 53 gr Vmax over CFE223. And my Kimber 22-250. Had a brain fart between groups, if I had moved the scope the correct number of clicks I would have had a much better score(moved...

Resizing 30-30 Win to 375 Super Mag

I haven't been into reloading for a very long time, I load 45acp, .223, 7mm rem mag, and 22-250. I've not ever resized brass for a different caliber and was wondering if anyone could inform me on necking the 30-30 to 375. I've found a bunch of references to using 30-30 brass for 375 winchester...
