    Marlin 336A

Around these parts they appear to be going around $400ish. I put it in the paper for about that and we'll see what happens. Decided I got plenty of other guns I can hunt deer with lol

    Marlin 336A

Thanks guys! Exactly the info I was looking for. It is a pretty cool gun, might end up keeping it till deer season and seeing what she can do :)

    Marlin 336A

So I just picked up a Marlin 336A 30-30 in a trade the other day, haven't had time to shoot it yet but it seems like a fun little gun. Since I got it in a trade I have no idea what its worth, I'm thinking around $400-450, plus its got some peep sights on it supposedly worth about $100. Anyway I...

    AR-15 Build

Thanks! As for weight, its a bit heavier then I was planning on, but still more then light enough to tote around for an all day deer hunt.

    AR-15 Build

Finished my first AR-15 build the other day, thought I'd post a pic and see what you guys thought. :) The lower is from Palmetto State Armory, upper is a JSE Surplus custom build, and the stock is a Magpul ACS-L. For a sight I chose the Vortex Strikefire with a Mako 5x magnifier and flip to...

Vortex Strikefire vs Bushnell TRS 25

I have the Vortex Strikefire, and my brother owns the TRS-25. I prefer the Vortex, but the TRS-25 definitely is a nice little sight. The Vortex has flip-up lens caps, night vision compatibility, and comes with the AR-15 mount. Perfect for my needs. The TRS-25 doesn't have as many features, but...

Hunting Scopes: What Do You Use?

The only scope I really have experience with is my Leupold VX-1 3-9x40. I really like it. It has great clarity, holds a zero really well, and isn't that expensive. It also has Leupold's unconditional lifetime guarantee.

    T/C Grey Hawk .54

I recently got a Thompson Center Grey Hawk .54 caliber muzzle loader in a trade, and know nothing about it. So I was wondering if anyone knows what twist it has, and what type of loads would be best to shoot in it. I'm brand new to muzzle loading, so any help would be appreciated. :) Also...

    Buggin' Out Centerfire Match:

Well, I suppose 4 points isn't too bad for my first try... Oh well. I'm hoping to re-shoot the target sometime this next week. We'll see what happens...

    Buggin' Out Centerfire Match:

Thanks for a great target Maverick223! I shot it yesterday with my home-built AK-47, so....... I think I got a score of about 3 :o. I did tear into the leg on the grasshopper (one point); my shot for the ant went wild and hit the bee instead, but I'm not sure whether that was the...

    Vulcan Armament Plastic AR-15 Lower

I handled a Vulcan AR-15 at a friends house once. I wasn't really impressed with it, and I'd personally stay away.

Do you own an AK-pattern rifle?

I have a Romanian AK-47 that I built from a kit. It isn't the prettiest rifle I've seen, but it's accurate and gets the job done.

Opinions on Palmetto State Armory Lowers

I built a PSA lower for about $150 a month ago. I'm extremely pleased with the high quality parts. Now I just have to put an upper on it... ;)

    AK Muzzle brake

Hmm, I think there must be two versions. Mine has holes around the middle just before the prongs. Like this one.

    AK Muzzle brake

I have a Tapco Razr muzzle brake that I'm really pleased with. Not only does it reduce almost all the recoil, but it also functions a little bit like a flash hider. And it looks cool too. :D
