    Sigh.... New itch...

I've tried most every PCC out there, except the Hi Point. Anyway, the one I kept is a Sig MPX, but it's a wallet drainer for sure, and the stock trigger is quite awful. After waiting forever for Gieselle to offer an "approved" trigger for the MPX, I went with a Timney, again a wallet drainer...

Bump Stocks not being turned in.

I don't disagree with what you say but, and there's always a but, any organization like a public gun range which turns a blind eye towards what has now become illegal activity runs the risk of being complicit, and being shut down, at best. Shooting up in the woods or wherever fine, being upset...

Felons and their 2nd amendment rights

Watch out too for the misdemeanor expansion list; I don't believe there is any legal procedure to "expunge" a misdemeanor. Misdemeanor domestic violence is a kiss of death for firearm rights. Any crime where a judge could have imprisoned you for more than one year, even if you received a shorter...

Felons and their 2nd amendment rights

Hmmm, politicians have a natural born instinct to do whatever it takes to get votes, I can't think of a single thing a politician stands to gain from restoring gun rights to felons. That said, many states have a legal process in place where a felon can have gun rights restored, it usually means...

Bump Stocks not being turned in.

WA legislature passed, and Gov signed senate bill 6025, citizens who surrendered bump stocks under the plan administered by WA State Patrol may NOT be released to the public. Good news.

Bump Stocks not being turned in.

As I mentioned, I'm not saying what the Government did was right, just saying what they did. Read up on Eminent Domain sometime, .gov has ways of separating an owner from his possessions as long as they "fairly" compensate the owner. Again, not saying I agree with Eminent Domain but it's been...

Bump Stocks not being turned in.

The problem starts when the Government declares something to be contraband, mere possession of it is illegal. I'm not saying that's right, just what it is. Therein lies the answer; if you don't want to be found in possession of contraband you need to get rid of it, either by destroying it or...

Bump Stocks not being turned in.

My guess is a few folks here in WA who turned in their bump stocks as part of the State "buy-back" may be a bit nervous. An unidentified citizen has submitted a request to the State Patrol to turn over the names and addresses of everyone who will be receiving a check from .gov. The citizen...

Am I the only one who hates cleaning ARs?

Try cleaning a gas gun that's been shot suppressed, ugh. Cleaning semi-auto anything is my least favorite shooting chore, until someone invents a dirt-pump, you know, like a heat-pump, it'll stay on my least favorite list. Bolt and lever action cleaning is not so much of a chore to me.

    Why did you choose .223?

As a hand loader, .223 for me is a way to hone my skills, practice more affordably than larger calibers, and not worry about component availability (for now anyway). I have bolt-action and semi-autos in .223 (5.56 if preferred), they are all fun to shoot for me. I don't even think twice about...

Whose 6.5 Creedmoor did you buy and why?

I bought a Browning X-bolt target and have no regrets, simply put, I trust Browning to deliver high value that matches their high price. Today, I'd take a real close look at the Seekins Havak series. Can't go wrong with a Savage either, but I already have a safe full of those :)

Which 6.5 Grendel Bolt gun to get.

I have the Howa mini in an MDT chassis, very nice rifle. It's been hit/miss with the CZ 527 for me; 7.63x39 is very accurate, same in .223 can't hit a banana boat 50' off the Kona coast with it :(

How long is too long for a .308 Win barrel?

I'm not sure what "tactically conditioned" is, maybe I have been and just don't realize it. In my limited experience so far, every cartridge seems to have it's sweet spot, or sweet range of barrel length. I'm mostly familiar with 300 BLK and 6.5 Creedmoor which seem to have "settled" barrel...

How long is too long for a .308 Win barrel?

Thanks THR, this rifle I'm considering would be strictly for bench work. I would plan on re-barreling it when the time comes so I could make any adjustments then, I just don't want to spend time and components shooting out a handicapped barrel to start with is why I asked the question.

How long is too long for a .308 Win barrel?

I'm getting real close to buying a .308 Win rifle with a 24" 1:11 twist barrel, is 24" wasted on, or even detrimental to the .308 Win cartridge? Thanks

    Another 6.5 CM victim

Damn, that's some good drivin' horseman61! Only way I could do that is with a Dewalt cordless drill at zero yards, lol.

    Another 6.5 CM victim

Nice job! My 28" X-bolt pipe likes 140 gr Hornady BTHP bullets over 41.7 gr H4350. I get a bit more speed but that's to be expected with the barrel length. If on your picture 2.85" is COAL, that's pushing past the SAMMI maximum of 2.825", which is fine for bolt-action rifles, assuming the...

    bumpstock ban process

WA is "buying back" bump stocks this month, $150 each until funds dry up. I still can't figure how they get to use my money to buy something back they never owned in the first place. I wonder if it means I still kind of own a bump stock, I mean, I helped pay for it.

Neighbor Shooting Directly Towards My Home Just Hundreds of Feet Away

I would certainly approach the neighbor directly as others suggested. Not sure I'd expect much since common sense indicates this is a poor setup for a shooting range.
