    Springfield XDM9 - Underrated gem

I've got the 3.8" in .40s&W. The XDm is just a great gun and a blast to shoot. Zero malfunctions no matter what I feed it for ammo, from low power plinking handloads to hot hollowpoint defense rounds. Enjoy.

How long did you have to wait for an LC9?

Walked into my local gun shop, walked out with an LC9. No wait.

    got a lc9

Try locktite on the sight screw. I've put 500 rounds through my LC9, only issue was during the first 50 when I hit the mag release with my clumsy thumb. All has been well since adjusting my grip.

My father-in-law's jam-o matic Taurus PT-92:barf:. Crappy clone of the Beretta.

Wife to be wants a firearm

Would the S&W rose grips count as pink? Got the 638 J-frame with these grips for my wife, she loves it. Woops, forgot this is the autoloader forum.

Ruger LC9 as a pocket gun?

A bit too big for pants pocket. At least for me and my pockets.

    LC9 500 round report

Nope no pics, didn't save any paper as I couldn't put together any braggin' size groups. Poppin' cans is more fun than punching paper anyway :)

    XDm9 3.8 compact: my thoughts

Got the same in .40s&w, gun is just a hoot to shoot. Up to about 2500rnds now and has digested everything I've tried feeding it including my 180gr cast lead handloads. Zero malfunctions. Everyone I've let try it with ends up the same stupid looking grin after the first mag.

    LC9 500 round report

Have put 500 rounds through my new LC9 now, about 1/2 115gr FMJ Rem UMC and 1/2 Winchester 124gr NATO. The only hiccup so far was during the first 50 when I somehow got my clumsy thumb on the mag release and caused a failure to feed a new round. Still struggling to get used to the long DAO...

    s&w vs Charter vs ruger

I know it was not on your short list but I just picked up a S&W 638 the other day for a reasonable price. Very light and a pretty darn good shooter. The shrouded hammer=snag free but still gives the option of single action when playing around at the range. Worth a look.

    Kahr

Price given is about 150 bux off MSRP. Still quite a premium over the Ruger but I'm leaning that way just for the trigger. Too bad Ruger did not go with a striker fired design. the DAO hammer felt like a DA revolver pull, long and progressively harder but did seem to break clean at the end. The...

    Kahr

Spent some time at my local gun shop today checking out small DAO auto pistols. He did not have a PM9 in stock but had the slightly larger CW40. Handled and dry fired the Kahr, Ruger LC9 and LCP, Kel Tec PF9 and P3AT, S&W Bodyguard .380. I found the trigger of the Kahr much better than any of...

7.0gr is what I load behind 180gr Berry's RS. Wear ear plugs;)

    40 S&W Reloading for Plinking

I came up with a couple different low recoil plinking loads for my XDm. Both loads are accurate and inexpensive. 180gr Berry's RS with 4.5gr Hodgdon HP-38 180gr MBC IDP#5's with 5.5gr Ramshot True Blue I plan to try the Berry's with True Blue but haven't got 'round to it yet. I really like the...

Reloading .40 S&W (first time) Help!

Another vote for Longshot, using load data from Hodgdon. Big muzzle blast and stout recoil but burns pretty clean.

    Winchester PDX-1 bullets

Anyone know if Winchester's PDX-1 handgun bullets are available as handloading components? Did not see them listed on the website, just the Silvertip and JHP-Notched for hollowpoint bullets.

    Another MBC loading tested

Must be my low buck Cabela's calipers lying to me.
