- Spyderco's have always been engraver friendly & good sellers for me - I did this one in very deep relief engraving - 350 for this knife is a bargin with the hours I have in it - here's a pic of the Pal side -

I added Rough Riders to my site a long time ago - I haven't had one up-happy customer yet - great knife - great value - I have been in the knife business over 30 years - RR & Marbles are very nice knives - At one time I stocked nothing but Case - No Longer!

really no issue with it being sealed - like hso said use something like an 80 grit - fo finer after you get it to shape - get some shoe dye at wally-world - polish it up - tom
I added a couple new knives to my site today in the Rough Rider Link - A large lock back with a folding guard and a Trapper pattern - both hand engraved of coarse:)

I still like an old slipjoint spring back knife but I really do see a value in a lock blade on a working knife. Tom
There are some great factory knives under 20 bucks on the market now. China have some of the best quality knives being made right now - I'm selling engraved pocket knives right now starting at 35 bucks that I have hand engraved!

I have a Ka Bar for sale on my site in the Old Knife link - My father-in-law was a pilot in the Navy. He served 3 tours in Vietnams - he told me this Kabar was issued to him. It doesn't say USN on the knife. It has 55 engraved on the front of the blade - I don't know if this was a control number...
For target shooting / pratice - i shoot 3/8 steel ball bearings. Most guys use for hunting. There are some better choices for the bands that come on the Crossman. I like flat bans but there are some good tube bands out there now - Use goggle & You Tube to find out more -

I finish this one up yesterday. Rough Rider, Large Canoe pattern, Mother of Pearl, work back springs & top of blades, I engraved it in my series 2 engraving. Pretty classy knife, I really like it - tom
