    Savage 10 BA trigger issue

I have the same rifle. It did exactly as you described. The problem was the trigger pull was adjusted too light. Mine was around 1 lb when malfunctioning. Once it was adjusted to about 1.5 lb it was ok. To adjust the trigger pull you need to remove the action from the stock and use a...

    Sweet 10MM goodness

Best Powder I have found for 10mm is AA#9 for 180 and 200 grain XTPs and AA#7 for 155s. The powder meters very well. I use them in a Delta and an S&W 1006 and 610. For mouse fart loads I use 175 grain LSWCs or 135 grain LRN and Win 231.

Savage Mark II and Marlin 880 question

I had exactly the same issue. The trigger pull has been adjusted too light. To adjust you need to remove the action from the stock and adjust the trigger pull adjustment spring to apply more tension If you have the Accutrigger adjustment tool it is pushed into the adjustment hole and turned...

    Plainfield M1 Carbine

I have a Plainfield M1 Carbine and it is a very reliable and accurate rifle. I think $250 would be a very good price if the gun is in reasonable mechanical condition. A photo of mine is attached.

.45 ACP Rifle: Useful tool or just fun toy?

Camp 45s are a great plinking gun and perfect for pistol caliber carbine games involving pins or steel plates. They are very accurate at 50 to 75 yards and will feed any kind of bullet. The only thing you have to watch out for is that the buffer is sound, recoil spring is a 21 lb unit and...

    S&W 945 Assistance Please

I have a 945-1 with an RSA serial number also. Really nice gun. Built like a tank, very reliable, will feed anything and capable of amazing accuracy. I used to use it for bullseye too but recently acquired an 845 - basically a model 52 in 45 caliber. Enjoy it.

    M1A Headspace Question

If you are reloading for an M1A you need to use full length resizing dies. If you try to chamber a piece of brass ejected from the same rifle it will jam in the chamber even if you resize the neck and set the shoulder back. During ejection in an M1A the cases continue to expand. In a bolt...

Marlin Camp 9 goes full auto...help

I would bet that someone shortened the hammer spring to lighten the trigger pull and also stoned the hammer hooks. If you shorten the hammer spring too much the trigger group will lock up because the hammer can "overcock" and occasionally lock back and not allow the trigger to reset. If they...

    FNP v. FNX v. CZ-75/SP01 v. STI GP6 v. Beretta Storm v. P99

I recently bought my first CZ handgun - an SP01 Shadow Target in 9mm. I have many custom built 1911 auto loaders and S&W performance center guns (945-1, 952-2, PC1911) and the CZ rivals all of them for performance (accuracy, DA/SA trigger pull and reliability) and fit/finish for half the price...

    1911 jamming on last round

It may or may not be the magazine's fault. I would also check out your extractor too. It may not be tensioned properly or it may be clocking against the firing pin stop. My 1911 recently was doing the same thing and it was caused by these two issues. Because the last round ejected didn't...

Hate the trigger pulls on my hi powers

I bought a new MkIII that had a crisp but really heavy 9 lb trigger pull. I read everywhere that removing the magazine disconnect would improve the trigger. With my pistol it made about a 8 oz difference once removed. The big advantage of removing the disconnect for me was that non-mousetrap...

Tactical Innovations- 10/22 25 round Steel Lip mag Question.

I had the same issue as you are having. One problem with some of these magazines is the follower is made incorrectly and offers the rounds at too steep an angle. If you call them they will send you a new follower. Alternatively you can grind the existing follower off with a file by keeping...

What round/ammo does your M1A injest best?

I have a scoped SAI M1A M21 and it likes DAG surplus - it is very clean ammo too. But it likes American Eagle 168 Grain OTM and Federal GMM 168 Grain ammo even better. The AE stuff is usually pretty inexpensive and I can get dime sized 5 shot groups at 100 yards with it off the bench. The FGMM...

    M1a flash suppressor

Your barrel may be indexed improperly (over or under tighten depending upon which way it is canted) and that would cause the cant in the front sight and suppressor. It is not a problem unless you find yourself running out of windage adjustment on the rear sight and/or adjustment of the front...

Issue w/ Tactical Innovations TI25 mags for 10/22

You are not the only one having this same problem. However, I had the problem with the expensive 25 round aluminum version. I sent the magazine back and they replaced the follower with one with a proper feed angle. It helped but the magazine needed a lot more work. After much polishing and...

    whats wrong with 10mm?

I have been shooting 10mm handguns for more than 20 years. IMHO it is one of the most versatile calibers available. You can load it down to powder puff and up to rip snorting 41 mag level loads. I use it mostly for plates and bowling pins - there is nothing better IMHO that a 10mm for pins...

    Trap, skeet, or both??

Ever try Skap? You shoot trap from all of the skeet positions - with the trap thrower of course. Its even more interesting with a wobble trap thrower.

    S&W Model 36 Reload Question.......?

I had the same issue with mine with rubber Pachmayr grips. I trimmed the left grip panel with an exacto knife back to the metal plate cast into the rubber and a dremel sanding bit. Then used some oiled fine sandpaper and steel wool to polish the rubber and a blueing pen to darken the steel...
