Pretty sure it has showed up on the boards before. I think it's ridiculous and would only give a threat an advantage.
Might as well open carry, at least then you're firearm is more easily accessible.
We have it here in new haven and I've wondered about its effectiveness. I've looked for articles and it all seems very hush hush. I've talked to cops about it. Their responses range from indifferent to scathing. This is from rank and file to upper brass.
I'd be really interested to read some...
I carry a M&P in 45 for work as armed security and love it. It shoots like a dream for me and I've never had a single FTF, FTE or anything resembling an issue. Some people cry about the trigger, but I've got not issues shooting great groupings with it.
This is the second time this year gun owners in new haven have thwarted would be attacks with a firearm. I suppose there were more. But these have been reported in the news.
Glad this guy did what he did and stayed safe.
Now new haven needs to get inline with state laws and stop requiring...
For the most part, value is subjective as far as I'm concerned. If someone wanted to buy my first rifle, a CZ lux 452, I'd tell them $2,000. To me, it isn't worth parting with for any less.
I run em dry and dirty. At least I know the last time I shot em they worked.
If I have been shooting a lot, not for a while, I'll wait till they get real dirty and clean them before i go shot a couple hundred rounds.
Check deltas website and print out and bring with you their rules. Do the same for applicable TSA rules. I'm sure someone will come along and give a more useful response.
Gun talk had a show on this topic a few months ago that was informative. I plan on shipping my guns next day air the day i...
I sometimes carry my s&w m&p 45 IWB in a comptac minatour holster. and I'll be damned if it isn't as uncomfortable as all hell. Way too much gun. I suppose a lot of my discomfort stems from carrying an LC9 IWB that feels like nothing and hides tremendously well. I don't even have a decent...
I actually used to leave my sigma in the bathroom for this reason. I've since given it away and now bring my work M&P 45 or my daily carry lc9 in with me and set it down on the vanity.
I'm not sure how big your pockets are. But I do not find the lc9 to be pocketable. I've carried it in my back pocket at times and in jacket pockets. But front pocket carry doesn't work for me. I carry mine everyday iwb 3-4.
We only have to take the NRA basic class here in ct. With the people I was in class with, I'm grateful for the requirement. I was amazed at the basic lack of knowledge. But for the most part the class is a joke. They practically give you the answers for the test. Though it did take one guy 40...
I carry my lc9 without the extension. I find that with the extension it's more difficult to conceal, not very, but enough. I carry my extra mag with the extension. But shoot both about the same.
I had trouble shooting my LC9 at first. But now I've got no problem shooting similar groups. Not sure when it happened. I just went to the range one day and it all clicked.
I love the LC9, with well over 2k through it, I've not had one hiccup. Though the first time at the range the rear sight...
