    Wipe-Out brushless bore cleaner

Has anyone on this site tried this product: Wipe Out I am testing it out on my Dad's old No.1 Enfield and my Blackhawk. So far I am pretty amazed.

    2A1 Enfield project coming along...

Some of you may recall me having a cow in the complaint department about some new Enfield stocks that took a year to receive, a few months ago. After much procrastination and taking care of a lot of other things going on, I finally got to work on the old girl. Well, I spent the better part of...

Removing a Tung oil finish from a new stock

Several months ago I received some new Enfield stocks for my 2A1. The wood is a pretty blond color, but I want to stain the wood a darker color. It appears to be a Tung oil finish applied over the wood. Is there a method to remove this finish without doing a lot of sanding?

    Hey Minnesota... Socialist Workers Party?

I was browsing on Fox News website and I pulled up the results from Minnesota. The very lowest candidate on the ballot, Roger Calero, is a member of the Socialist Worker Party??? :scrutiny: What is up with that??? :uhoh:

Gun collection at the Buffalo Bill museum

I just got back from a two week vacation, and one of our stops on our itenerary was Cody, WY at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. For gun enthusiasts this is a must see. I quit trying to count all the fine weaponry after about 30 minutes, when I kept walking by case after case of beautiful...

    Cleanin' your stones...

I know that most gunsmiths and wannabes like me have a bunch of stones for smoothing out all kinds of ills in metal, from sticky parts to making that trigger break like a glass rod (still haven't mastered that one yet) . What do you use to clean them with? I use a old can of aerosol Rem Oil...

    Received my Puma 454 yesterday...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I received my Puma 454 yesterday and I am completely impressed with it. :D The tube loading like a .22 is very bizarre, but I understand why the did it that way, otherwise the recoil would shear the mounting pin. The tube on this gun actually screws in...

Were Colt Anacondas ever offered in .45?

I heard that this might be the case, and if so, I have a new gun I will be looking for! .44 Magnum is fine, but my affinity is .45... I have handled many Pythons and they really are gorgeous weapons. If the Anaconda was chambered in my favorite caliber, .45 Colt, life would have a new...

Handled a Rossi Puma .454 Casull yesterday...

Looks like a hell of a gun, but the .22 style tube setup for the magazine is kind of strange... I do like the way the gun looks. The dark colored stock wood makes it almost (I said almost) looks like a "black rifle". Since this was the first Rossi slabside I have ever seen, I was...
