A Verbal Warning Before Unleashing The Big .50?

I was at the range a while back and a guy came with a .50. He would give us warning be for he fired each shot. Seems like the polite thing to do. It did not bother my ears with muffs on, but nothing like trying to do some precision shooting, and having some cannon go off right as you are...

    Stevens/savage 10 accuracy

I will have to see what it does with some more testing but my 7-08 will shoot a 1/2 MOA with hand loads. From what I have read, they are quite accurate in other calibers as well.

    What's the best choice?

I would look into a 77/22 as well. I was looking at them the other day thinking that would be a mighty nice .22 if I could put that much money into one.

    Affordable Varmint Rifle

Contrary to what everyone seems to think, You do not always have to spend very much to get an accurate rifle. Maybe you did a few years ago, but not anymore. Like I said, I have found a load that will shoot 1/2 MOA in my $300.00 Stevens. (I actually paid a lot less than that on sale.) I will add...

    Affordable Varmint Rifle

I have read the Handi rifles can get down close to 1 MOA or better with a little work. Here is a link to some handi rifle information. http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/index.php/board,126.0.html

    Affordable Varmint Rifle

Check out the Stevens Model 200. They will run you a little over $300.00 Regular price, and they are good shooters. I have heard good things about them in .223, and mine in 7mm-08 so far seems to be a .5 MOA gun.

Whats a good place to start?

I would recommend starting with a inexpensive bolt action or single shot 22lr. A air rifle would be a good place to start as well. A hunter safety course would be a very good idea, even if you do not intend on hunting. It would be a good idea to find someone to teach you as has been mentioned...

I need help with decision. 357 mag or 30-30 lever gun

It is going to come down to a matter of personal preference, but for what your are talking about, I would consider the .357. Great for smaller animals, with still plenty of power with the right ammo for deer. As for the yardage, I doubt you are going to do much at 200 yards. That would be...

case trimmer: Which one to get?

It needs to be all the way touching the cutter teeth. The threads on mine were a little ruff and took a little more torque than they should have, but it threaded on ok. I hope these pictures are clear enough for you to see (If I get them to post!). I have been quite happy with mine so far.

Do most antis have reasons for being anti?

Reason? possibly. Good reason? No; unless it is because of some Jackass gunowner. Most of them are ignorant and/or brainwashed, or have an ulterior motive. The ones that are innocently ignorant can be taught otherwise. Just my 2 cents.

Where do you guys buy your brass from?

The ranges I have been to will not let you pick up any brass but your own. Starline is the best I have seen for new. You can find some good deals for once fired on Gunbroker.

    GP 100 Question-HELP

For the purposes you listed, go with the 6". The longer sight radius will increase your accuracy (Yours, not the gun's), and you will get a little more velocity. For shooting, Hunting, and in the home defense, you will be better off with the 6". That said, I do not think that the difference is...

What would be a good rifle ~500 dollars

I would recommend looking into another 22; maybe a Ruger 10/22. If you want to go with a centerfire, you might check out the Savage/Stevens model 200. You can get one for under $300 and and have enough of the $5oo left to put toward a decent scope. They generally are as accurate or more so then a...
