    Lever Action Chamberings?

Just about every cartridge can and has been chambered in a lever action rifle. Are you asking about a specific model?

Remington Golden Bullet Value Pack Junk Ammo

I found a Remington Thunderbolt bucket o' bullets back during the shortage and snatched it up, absolute disappointment with about 35-40% of them being duds or had such low power that you could literally see them in the air shooting a target less than 10 yds away. I ended up using them as trade...

    Phoenix 22 or Bersa 380

I am a big guy that likes heavy recoil, I shoot 44 mag like most shoot 45acp, but I hate the Bersa Thunder. Its not that it has a lot of recoil, don't get me wrong, but the recoil it does have, in my opinion, sucks. It is snappy and every once and a while bites my hand, I would rather shoot my...

Avenging Angel snub nose revolver club

Okay, you asked for it. I got this old thing at the gunshow for $40, it was ugly and the cylinder rubs the forcing cone just a little but works fine. I chopped the barrel, rounded the grip, and antiqued it. It's a real bad guy gun with kill notches and everything. I left the loading lever...

Is .38 Special Sufficient for SD ?

In similar bullet weights the 9mm Luger only edges 100-200fps faster, it is certainly not questioned as to its effectiveness by most self defense gurus. The 38S&W out shines the 380acp by a mile yet it is one of the most popular self defense cartridges around today.

    Serpa Holsters & Ranges

A lot of ranges don't allow you to draw from a holster at all, they also require you to point the gun either straight up or down. Most ranges don't allow ammunition in guns when people are down range, or allow you to handle unloaded gun when people are ahead of the firing line. Generally, if...

    Idaho/Montana Hunting?

Here in NW Montana, it is very crowded (I guess that is relative) near the main population centers but if you get out, 30-40 miles away from the big towns, there is more wildlife and fewer hunters. It seems hunters up here are pretty lazy, the closer to town you are, the more people you see and...

Want to Build a Quickdraw/Fanning Gun

Quick draw competition guns have, for the most part, aluminum barrels and are designed to shoot only wax, or other not metal, bullets. Many time using very little, if any powder.

Want to Build a Quickdraw/Fanning Gun

There are small size differences between some of the different models of Blackhawks but the biggest reason most prefer the old model (three screw) is because it has a more traditional, simpler trigger mechanism. There was no transfer bar. You can buy them in 45, there is no need to bore them out...

    GPS Tracker for Backcountry Excursions

The Spot Tracker looks like what I'm looking for, I don't know why Google didn't come up with that when I typed in "GPS tracker" but you guys got it. I'm a little turned off by the subscription part of it but I guess they have to pay for satellites somehow. Is there a place to rent something...

    GPS Tracker for Backcountry Excursions

I live in Northwest Montana and am planning a future hunt, but there is one big hang up, my wife. Being a competent woodsman and Nordic skier, living within walking distance of some of the best wilderness areas in the continental US, I am planning a solo, pack in, mid-winter wolf hunt. But...

    Cut down a Zouave?

I gave much thought to belling the end out to a blunderbuss but I decided 20ga was too small to be a respectable blunder.

    Cut down a Zouave?

I chopped a Zoli Zuave for a guy because it had a crack in the stock and pitting in the bore starting at the 16" mark and going all the way to the muzzle. The barrel was reamed to something like 62 cal smooth bore. I cut the barrel to 15", wrapped the forestock to the barrel with copper wire...

    Taurus transfer bars

Awww, just weld a chunk on the end of the hammer; what's the worst that could happen? -kidding, don't do that- I would be inclinded to use spring stock so it didn't mushroom out over time but that might be unnecessary.

Why is Alliant Black MZ powder so cheap?

I like the stuff, works in my 22 NAA, 36cal underhammer, 50cal pistol, 54 cal rifle, and cannons. I does smell a little like baked chicken, which makes me hungry, look a squirrel!

    22 wmr barrel

There is nothing wrong with GM barrels, they are a quality barrel for the price. X-Calibers, in my experience, are much nicer; they have less chatter, are cleaner, and are lapped. I have run a bore scope down a lot of both and would not hesitate buying either.

    Remington 11 recoil spring

The original Remington model 11 spring is made out of square wire, this wire wears out faster than the round wire and as the spring compresses, the corners dig into the mag tube. This causes everything to slow down and can make the gun more picky with ammunition. It is an upgrade, and...

    Help with the FNH 5.7x28

The coating on the brass has nothing to do with feeding, it is merely a preservative found only on FN ammo, other companies load the 5.7 and they do not have it. It may change they way a particular load extracts, slightly, but if you work up your loads with or without it, they will work fine.

    Help with the FNH 5.7x28

If you use good handloading practices and full length size them, you ought to be fine. I have heard that you have to trim almost every time but other than that, people get into trouble trying to push it or with double charges. The guns are blowback which is usually very forgiving but in this...
