    Marlin 336

I have a Wal-Mart "Remlin" purchased December 2012. It has the laminated stock and was accurate out of the box. You will need to "fix" the trigger. There is a tutorial on how to do that on the Marlin forum. Do not believe all the B.S. about Remington Marlins. I have two and they were quality...

    Who Runs a 7x57?

Lone Star: I handload 145 grain Speer bullets. I bought my Featherweight when the were new on the market and still made by Winchester (Before U.S. Repeating Arms). I loaded 50 rounds, sighted in and have not used up the first 50. The rifle has probably accounted for 20+ deer on my ranch. I will...

    Who Runs a 7x57?

I believe that the term "runs" is associated with the black rifle crowd. Personally, I "HUNT" with my Winchester Featherweight chambered for 7X57. Usually, one shot "plop".

Alright rifle country, lets see some uncommon rifles

Not particularly unusual, except it is fitted with a "Nikon rimfire scope".

    So I want a .30-30

I believe that the objections to the "Remlins" is overblown. I have two of them; both bought in the last year and both of them will shoot rings around my pre-64 Winchester. The safety issue?? Leave it on fire and drop the hammer to half cock. That's what you have to do to put the safety on the...

    Would you make this trade?

I think that Ruger Bisley's are ugly as hell. I have a Remlin 45-70 that is one fine rifle. I would jump on that trade like a chicken on a June bug!

    My Hunting Knives

Heres a shot of my favorite hunting knives. The one on the left is a Jimmy Lile "Big 7" The one on the right is a Bob Loveless pattern by Berreta. They are both "Drop Point Fixed Blades" and each of them has butchered over 2 dozen deer. P.R.

    Push Feed Bolt Actions

Just to add a little fuel to the fire, are not CRF AND so-called Push Feed rifles BOTH push feed?? The claw extractor helps to secure the cartridge to the bolt, but has NOTHING to do with inserting the cartridge into the rifles chamber, Correct?? I own pre-64 Winchester Mod 70's and Mod 70...

Chicago Police Chief: 2nd Amendment Is A Danger To Public Safety

The Police Chief and Obama--Both products of Chicago politics. What else do you need to know about this pair of idiots?? P.R.

    .22 rifle boresight problem

Why fool around with boresighting a .22 ?? Set up a target at 25 yards and see if it will get on the paper. .22 ammo is cheap. I would return the scope to its original (no clicks off center) condition FIRST. If you can't get on the paper USE BIGGER PAPER...

    Winchester model 70

The claw extractor, new trigger and 3 position safety do it for me. I also think that the Winchester checkering pattern is more attractive than the Rems.

How necessary are scopes for medium/big game hunting?

Most of the replys have one thing in common..you need good light for effective use of iron sights. If you hunt early or late or in deep shadows/woods you need a scope (or will wish you had one).

Biden: New gun controls won't likely end shootings

New Gun Laws Will Not Stop School Shootings ?? Then what exactly will they do?? Make people "feel good" about doing something?? Biden proves again that he is a certifiable idiot..

Trim before or after neck sizing?

Down=Longer?? Note what fguffey says..When you neck DOWN, the brass gets longer.. Please explain why full size resizing does not, in fact, make your brass longer?? If it gets longer you should trim after resizing to keep your cartridge length uniform and within O.A.L. tolerance..
