An uplula tool for loading mags are worth every penny. Not familiar with the pro mag, but don't think it would bother the uplula tool.

They do have a pocket gun .380 ....Taurus Spectrum. It's my every day carry and is flawless and functions like a higher priced gun. Goes everywhere with me when I leave the house.

Needed a new rifle. Bought a Savage 110 tactical in .308. Comes with a 10 round mag. I also bought a 5 round mag for hunting. Need to put a scope on it yet. Prolly a vortex of some kind. Anxious to shoot it before long. Has some great reviews in regard to accuracy.

I carry a Spectrum .380 for daily pocket carry. It has never had an issue of any kind. It fits in the Uncle Mike's and have no problem with worry about it functioning if needed. I mostly have S&W M&P's full size and carry those in colder months. I can afford more for a gun than my summer carry...

American Rifleman is a given and should be if you own a gun. I agree that the Best Gun Magazine hands down is American Handgunner. They have by far the best staff of writers anywhere.

I agree with the S&W .380 M&P EZ is the way to go. You might need to buy two when you find out how sweet they are.

B square saddle mounts are available in 20 ga as well as 12. Amazon had some a couple months ago. Be sure to get the aluminum and not the plastic ones.

I regret selling mine. I didn't shoot it enough to hang on to it I guess. Mine was a .17HMR with the discontinued 8 7/8" barrel. It was super accurate. Amish neighbor enjoys it now....sold it with 12 boxes of ammo in new condition for $400..... what a fool,eh!

I've owned one for a couple years and have no problems with it. It is a great pocket gn for sure. Mine runs flawless with Federal 90 grain JHP. When the gun was brand new, I had one fail to feed with FMJ ammo. Never a problem with JHP. I carry with a Uncle Mike's pocket holster.

Thanks for sharing the old chart. You gottalove the 20ga chart that allows 16ga light loads for use as 20ga game loads. I still use the 16ga 2H bar and herco powder for game loads. Works then and still does today.

Reloading is fun and rewarding. I also have the mec 600 that I bought new back in the early 70's....still going strong. Nice little pocket gun. I bought one right after they came out for $200 and not sorry I did. I consider it easy to shoot and not snappy at all, but then I mostly shoot 40cal. Like others said...really easy to conceal.

My pocket pistol is also the Taurus Spectrum in a Uncle Mikes pocket holster.

The only time you would have a problem with black bears, is if you would get between the sow and her cubs causing her distress. I also vote for a handgun in a holster....mine would be a S&W M&P 40cal. Chances of having to use it are almost 0.

My brother had a model 12 back in the late 60's, but ended trading it in on a 870 wingmaster in 16ga. I now have that wingmaster, but wish it was the model 12.....I have numerous 870's but no model 12...dang.
