I know that S&W has been using sleeved barrels for some time. I've read a lot of hate about them and some that actually think it is a good thing.
I was on Ruger's site recently and it looks like they have gone to the sleeve and shroud barrels on some models as well!
What is the point of this...
I have a Super Redhawk, not a SBH.
I currently own both the Redhawk Hunter and the Super Redhawk. I think I am going to let the Redhawk fly and keep the SRH!
Follow up:
I ended up buying back the Redhawk Hunter.
I hate to admit this, but I think I like the SRH better. It feels better in hand. The Redhawk had a scope mounted on it. This model has the scope ring cutouts on the barrel. With the scope mounted it feels very top/front heavy. The SRH has...
Thanks for the help! I like what I see there. I really like that it seems to have a high back of leather to protect the skin - Simply Rugged doesn't have that.
I am looking for a OWB/IWB holster for my Colt King Cobra 3". I am a lefty. Not many options that I can find.
I am probably going to order a Simply Rugged pancake holster with the optional straps so I can wear it IWB and OWN if desired.
Any other options? Thanks!
Ruger Redhawk VS Super Redhawk...what say you?
Which would you prefer for handgun hunting, whitetail deer?
I have owned a few Redhawks and only one Super Redhawk. I sold off my last Redhawk and ended up getting the SRH. Recently, a Redhawk (Hunter with scope ring cut offs) that I sold off came...
I was recently on a website that gave different stores availability and price for handguns. For the life of me, I can not remember the site.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
I am a revolver guy, always have been. I have dabbled with semi-autos but always come back to carrying revolvers.
But, this lack of ammo availability (and price) has me carrying a Glock 19 again. I can find ammo for it very easily and I can afford to shoot it!
I have rocked the leupold 2X pistocl scopes on several hunting rigs. I am shopping for a new Super Redhawk and will top it off with another Leupold 2X.
I have a 3" GP100 (Wiley Clapp) as well. I don't think that it has ever been shot! I just wanted something smaller and this Colt is exactly the size that I was looking for!
I may sell off the Wiley Clapp GP100 now that I have this Colt!
Just a quick follow up!
After much debate, I have decided on the Colt King Cobra. I just picked it up about an hour ago. I have not fired it yet.
Fit and finish are superb. The finish is much smoother and more polished than ones that I have seen in the past. Trigger pull, smoothness, and break...
As an eye care professional, it makes me very happy top hear this. I am glad that you sought out professionals who specialize and do things right. I am also in PA and know that group. They are very knowledgeable, have great people working for them and care for their patients!
Congrats!
