I got an ol dinged up Marlin 60 in my truck, picked her up at a pawn shop for $90. Will admit, sometimes the rifle would be a bit cranky with certain ammo but runs like a champ on mini mags, winchester bulk so that is what I keep at hand. Can't say much for a 10/22 since I've never owned one...

Thought I'd give an update... I replaced the Hogue Tamer PG with a Speedfeed 'Birds head' grip and the difference in recoil is substantial. I tried #4, #2 and double 00 with the new grip and had a completely different experience than with the 'Tamer' grip. No more bone jarring recoil. With the...
