RetiredUSNChief , you are right I plan on shooting it. I just fitted it with a Sightron III scope. I am waiting until next fall to use it. I am meeting a retired USN Chief friend of mine in Montana to hunting elk and mulleys. We have been planning this trip together for years so this will be a...
I just purchase a Browning A-bolt Micro featherweight in 284 caliber from a local gun shop. The rifle is unfired. This gun was 1 of 100 built for Grise gun shop as a special order. If I shoot it, will it loose value?
Bird success as well.
Jason W.
We had very good luck as well in the Allagash country for birds this year. My son is shooting #4 in his twenty also. We shoot our limit every day for 5 days. He was able to hit bird in the brush much better than 7 1/2 he used last year.
Well the gun gods have smiled on me. I was just contacted by the Sheriff and the executer of the estate. My gun will be return as soon as he finds it and boxes it up. Thanks for the responses.
Yes Gerald Stockinger is the one handling my gun. I have call the Clio Town office and the Chief of Police doe s not return my calls. I have sent emails to the Sheriffs department to see if they can help, of course no reply from them either. I was looking at contacting the BATF.
I am looking for anyone that might have information about the gunsmith in Clio, Alabama. He was doing a re-barreling job on a rifle on mine and it appears that he has pass away. The phone number to the shop no longer work and emails are not answered. Does anyone know who I can contact about...

I have 4 BLR's 243, 308, 284 and my favorite is my 358. I like shooting them all but the 358 has shot several big Maine bucks. My 243 is the old model and is impossible to find extra clips for. The 284 is a nice caliber and this year is the rifle I am banking on shooting a big buck with.
Being that I am a hillbilly from northern Maine and tradition here runs deep. I see a 94 Winchester in 30-30 or 32 special and a H&R 16 gauge in the mix. Yes these are hand-me-down from generations ago.
Dear fguffey,
I got the dies from C&H tool and dies. They cost me $110. They sent me a lube with them and recommended that is what I use. I have since went back to RCBS lube and do not have the same issue. This resizing problem is short term, I am having Quality Cartridge run me some brass for...
I am working on a wildcat cartridge 270 Titus Savage. I just got the custom dies in and was trying them out. I am necking the 300 savage brass down. I notice that there are dimples on the neck. Is this normal on a resized brass before fire forming them?
Has anyone work this combination yet? I can not find any information about putting the too together but I believe this will be a good powder for a 150 gr SST round.
I am a shooter and reloader who has a soft spot for the cartridges that are on there glimmer of life. I have several that are mentioned above like the 284, 358. I also have a Savage 250-3000, Savage 303 and a 7-30 waters. I find that these are popular with older guy and younger people stay with...
Duplicates-Heck ya. My father and I have a very large reloading room. We often set up to load the same caliber for different load at the same time. He on one press, I on another and some day my teenage son on our third. So yes some of the really common caliber we have three set. We have double...
