I've run thousands of powder coated and hi tech coated bullets through a stock 34 barrel without any problems.

I shoot several thousand pistol rounds a year so I have a square deal for that. All of my rifle is done on a rock chucker. I would like to get a 550 or 650 for 223 though since I shoot a lot of that compared to other rifle calibers.

I have a tv in my reloading room for the boring tasks like this, as long as the fingers stay out of the way it's fine. :D

I wouldn't do anything for another six years or 5000 rounds whatever comes first. Mine has around 12,000 and hasn't been touched.

Nice looking rifle. Keep feeding it with that 23.9 Tac load and you shouldn't have a problem hitting what you're aiming at.

I don't know a lot about duracoat and cerekote. I wonder how well will it hold up to the blast where the cylinder and barrel meet.

I have a hard enough time at 100-200 yards. 1" at 600 never even crossed my mind :eek:

I would remove the spent primer and put a dab of glue in the flash hole just to remove all doubt. I do like the idea though. It's a nice way to carry some memories through the woods.

It's bolted down better now, for now I just slapped a 2x6 over that mess and bolted it all down. The little bit of extra height made a nice difference too.

I built two of these for our local club this spring, Very sturdy, even with the wheels it's a workout for one guy to move.

Archangel, This would be totally just for fun at the end of the night. For the actual shoot I would be using my regular ammo.
